B. The bot now monitors what all people say to it and what it replies with, so robotz can easily tell if jagex are trying to do this.

Everyone should probably do some manual MTAing before hand in case they suspect things.

 

Unfortunately it's quite easy to reverse engineer any compiled program to source code. Despite being illegal, there's no way of actually preventing it, while I'm sure Jagex wouldn't admit to it, it's widely accepted they've done this with various bots in the past, and when they turned their attention to the last version of the MTA bot, the first and easiest thing to focus on was the code for the list of replies, then they set their sights on other parts of the code most likely the mouse movements because a while after this we has the first case of a ban without any J-Mod sighting. But now, with version 3, all they will ever know about the new auto-talker and new mouse movement is what gets sent to the server and what gets sent back, in other words nothing, which (combined with it's continued improvement) is what I'm counting on to make us safe again, and safer than ever.

It is set for release within 24 hours, there may be a few more small updates over the coming days, incase there's any teething problems or performance issues (it requires more CPU time than before, which could potentially cause problems for some, but I'm working on an automated system that will detect your processor speed and speed up the bot, or slow it down automatically, which should be ready for tommorrow too). In testing it's gone really smooth, and I'll make sure it's all perfect before I move on to the PC bot. Thanks

Is that a serious question? How would Jagex NOT know about this. They had Jmods and Mod Mark there!! Its pretty clear that they know about this and possibly have a copy that as RID reverse-engineered. That is why i guess someone got banned without seeing a Mod. Jagex must have reverse-engineered the bot, that they know about, and set new security parameters.

 

I wonder if theres any way which R.I.D can track which accounts are being used by Jagex and then block the bot from them accounts and then only sell the bot to exsisting customers, and the exsisting customers have to recomend another person before they are able to purchase the bot.

The bot logs what is being said to it which might help in the determination of these accounts.

Not sure if robotz would do this because he is trying to make money.

 

If you don't like it, take your business else where. RID is going as fast as he can to make sure this newer version will be better and safer then ever before. Unless you want him to hurry up, possibly make mistakes, then allow us to use the faulty update, get banned and have people like you bitch at him for not doing it right?

I doubt you will take your business elsewhere because there is NO WHERE else to go!

So just be patient and dont be sarcastic like that to RID, or he might not let you use the bot anymore. He has that power you know...we are lucky he gives us free updates.

 

Dude, calm down. He's just complaining about how the expected dates are always delayed. I get annoyed when I go to the site expecting the release after a week and I'm told I need to wait some more. And I'm sure you feel the same way. I don't complain about it, though, the bot is excellent and he's a good guy. It's just an annoyance. So calm the hell down and stop being a suck-up.

 

1) I will not calm down because people like him are the reason the first thread was locked...twice! They keep posting crap like that regardless the fact that we tell them to relax and be patient. These kids think things like these can be done in a day.
2)Actually, Im in no hurry, i havent played RS for about 3 weeks and will probaly let me membership run out (20 days left). I've moved on to other games for now and if i feel like playing again I will. So if it comes out today or a week from today its all fine with me.
3) You said it yourself, "He is a good guy". Well, I have supported RID for a while now and i get pretty pissed off when people like the above say stupid crap like "Im starting to lose respect for you" all because he is a day or two late on a release date. Come on...are you serious? Grow up...
4) When/where do i suck-up? Is it because i hang around the thread helping people (when the bot is active) or is because i "defend" RID when people like the above bad-mouth him for no good reason? If it is because of those above I guess i am guilty as charged. But hey, Its fine with me.

There's still 1 hour of today in this country, and about 5 hours until 24 hours when he said it would be released within 24 hours.

However, even if it does, I'll still have to wait till tomorrow.
