    Cinema 4d and After effects?

    Hello all

    Quick questions..

    1. Can I get Cinema 4d for free, and if so where?

    2. Can i get an after effects alternative?

I am looking to make animated signatures for myself. Would be great if someone helped me out and pointed me in the right direction.

    1. no you cannot legally get it for free
    2. theres nothing that is as easy to use to animated signatures besides after effects, though some designers have used photoshop alone to animate signatures with decent success, though i personally prefer ae

My signature was “animated” (if you want to call it that) in gimp.

I got the 42 day trial, but damn cinema 4d is showing up to be like $400+ for me.

I have decided that I am going to get the student discounted photoshop and after effects combo and start making my own signatures and banners

I really want to do mostly banners and I have tons of experience with photoshop so we will see how it goes.

What I’m going to do is make a backgrounds and border for the banner, add the images I need, then bring that into AE to animate the words and give the effects.

Will take trial and error since there are no good tutorials on specifically making add banners or signatures with AE that I can find.

    Anyway, thanks for the info.

Any tips on after effect plugins or is making stuff from scratch the meta?

I use a free plugin "vc color vibrance" I think it's called. Mostly to get rid of black background on particles of whatever I wanna overlay. So I can still use a different blending mode and don't have to use Screen :b

I you have any questions on how stuff is done in AE, feel free to hmu
