    It is possible?

Telecommunications is a fascinating world full of nifty little gadgets. For instance, did you know that what you hear is not actually the person speaking, but a series of vibrations that are interpreted from their end by the sounds they make?

It goes like this, you talk, and you key the vibration. That goes through the phone wire, to the breaker, and then to the phone company's main center. They do all the necessities with the call, (ie. check to see if it costs more or less, see where to patch it (put it through), and ensure the call stays connected). After they patch it, the vibration continues to the other end's reciever which gets the vibrations. Before the reciever gets the vibrations, however, the teleprompter sends a signal before your signal that there is a call coming. (ring).

When the person picks up the reciever, the middleman is cut out, and the two lines are connected. When a person hangs up the reciever on either end, it stops all further vibrations, and sends the packets back to the sender. This tells that reciever that the message wasn't recieved, often by a loud beeping sound.

Thus the end of a call.

When a bug is planted in your phones, all packets are delivered to another point before going whichever way. If the FEDs have tapped your phone, the call is intercepted without being interupted.

Now as to your question, when the dial hits the teleprompter (you've dialed the number and it goes to the breaker then to the teleprompter) they are flagged that certain calls aren't allowed. If your service doesn't cover long distance, they reject the packet, and will not patch you through.

It's a very fun job XD!

    Too much information? LMAO

I doubt you can do it, just call your provider and ask them to unblock them. It's usually an easy process and completed within an hour. Good luck mate.
