Explanation of the trade: paypal for 625m 07

How they scammed: They took my money and after proceeded to tell me there was a limit after the sale had already been done which is a terrible trading practice.

Please don't infract me, yes it's a bad practice not telling beforehand but they only hold the gold until someone purchases it. You will get paid, if they're not reasonable after the time frame given by their chat for payments to be sent ask to speak to Arcus or ask for his email and contact him regarding payment or refund.

We're sorry for the inconvenience but as is the case with most gold shops, we're unable to accept PayPal directly for a 600m purchase due to the risk of fraud. That is over our limits and we have refunded your payment.

Your payment was going to be instantly refunded by Mandy but you didn't accept the 2-5 business days required by bank-paypal to process a refund so you did open a paypal dispute which I have already issued a full refund.

Unfortunately about the days required to have your money back there isn't much we can do, because the Bank/Cards take 2-5 business days to process a refund.

There should be a warning hands down about a limit before your money is taken if they limit purchases to 65m 07 a week especially an amount over 500$. The refund is processing but the fact that i have to wait "X" business days after the weekend for a purchase that i would have not made knowing there was a limit should not happen.

 

That’s a valid suggestion we will take into consideration, but for now the order has been refunded and depending on your bank/card, will appear on your account within 2-5 days.

 

In my opinion this seems like false advertisement at the very least you offered me gold for a price via paypal and i payed it you received the money never once did in the process of paying for the gold and my money being taken was i warned about the amount i could purchase as a limit, I appreciate that the order has been refunded but this is very frustrating and it seems like something that shouldn't be allowed to happen.

 

I went through all the FAQ and TOS and this is all I could find that somewhat may cover warning a user before an incident like this occurs though it vaguely does. I agree with what he says in this matter if you have a long standing process of not accepting paypal for over a certain amount of money per whatever time frame there is, there should be a warning when you select to use paypal that gives you a heads up. Some people live off of 500$ a month simply giving a person a heads up would be appropriate I believe. I cant imagine its too hard to simply have a limit on the site when a person clicks paypal of the equivalent of 65m 07 as the chat states later on that's the limit. They offered gold on their site for paypal and let him make the purchase with no other terms other then "verification" anywhere and they took his money that seems binding to me.

@Guglio Please let your boss know that a warning will need to be issued (Although you do give warnings in live chat) It would be best to present it at checkout with amounts exceeding your limit.

No TWC is issued, because it is a well known problem in large gold buys with bigger websites being a target to chargebacks. They would have informed you in Live Chat that you could have not ordered that much at once without ID, ETC.
