I have a question about Junk Trading..

Ok, well I do NOT understand this way of trading..
I mean somebody, for example, is buying a saradomin sword for 20m..
Ok trade price is 11m, and then they put say... idk 9m needles in it or something??
but doesnt this GO OVER the 30k/3k(qp varies) trading limit??
or it just accepts anyway??
please explain because idk this rofl..

and Zach it doesnt, the person thats buying puts 20mil, and the needles will=9mil +the sword which is 11mil for a grand total of 20mil....

Yes, But needles aren't a very good example, normally people make maple longs (u). The maples cost about 45gp each and the maple long (u) sell to a store for 44gp each, but the trade price is about 140gp.

No no, for example someone wants to buy a Sara Sword for 20M. The person buying puts up 11M for the market price of the sword, the person who is selling the Sara sword then puts up junk that will be equivelent to 20M. By junk I mean such stuff as pouches, pouches for example has a good market price, the way this works is that since pouches are near impossible to sell, you have a chance to get rid of your JUNK for money basically. Example Player A wants to sell a Santa for 20M, the market price for a santa is 15M. Player B first puts up 15M for the market price, then Player A puts in 5M worth of junk that he has no use for but is worth 5M. Then Player B puts up the money so it evens out with the market price. People only do this if an item is in high demand, the seller profits grately because he can get rid of his junk for money that he would normally sell.

 

ok. i'll use your example. people sell for cash + junk because they want to sell quickly or its really hard to sell.

so they put up the sara sword (20m) in trade box. then the other guy puts in 11m. so he needs another 9M. needles are worth 1 gp each so he can put 9M needles which is equivalent to 9M cash. so it ends up as 20m in the trade box. which can successfully be traded.
