I am New to cryptos need advice

Hi there, I was just wondering what the difference is between a bitcoin wallet and using a trading website such as IQ options for example? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I do understand the basics and history of how it was developed but i just need tip for starting.

 

uhhhhh. You cant trade using your bitcoin wallet unless that wallet is on a exchange. You should start trading using bitfinex if you aren't U.S.

a bitcoin wallet cna be offline and managed by yourself. if it's ina website it's not directly manged by yourself, perhaps it's a bit less safe.

People generally don't hold their crypto on exchanges (unless they are trading) because it is safer to hold it in your own wallet, it is safer. If the exchange goes down, get's hacked... etc. you will most likely lose what you had on their. If you hold what you have in a wallet and anything happens, you have your private keys in case anything happens so it shouldn't be a problem.
