OMG I have heard some really REALLY outlandish explanations!!! For one who ever it was who said the president makes no money off the gas and other products none presidential related YOU NEED SCHOOL NOW!! LMAO The U.S. is all about the political secrets and back door scams!!! What about watergate, Kennedy, vietnam, and it keeps a comming!! YES Bush does hold stock in oil and so does his dad! Isn't it a little wierd that his dad went to war with sudam also in the east??? Now ask yourself this my friend, if the supply is depleting why the sudden spike in price sooo convienetaly right before 911 ?? Think about this for years and years gas was only 90 cents to a dollar and the price never went up over a couple cents at a time now it jumps in whole dollar increments thats is unrealistic when you look at the total gross! Say gas raised 20 cents, well by the time millions of people buying those millions of gallons of gas pays that 20 cents on a gallon more think of the billions extra the made in profit!! NOW, we are not talking cents we are talking dollar hikes in gas a MONTH!!!! NOT REALISTIC WHEN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BUYING THE PRODUCT!!! Think of the overall money they are raking in a whole from every one in the US!!! Another note! If oil is soo scarce how come we THE US are selling our oil out of alaska and not a drop comes here. I guess that little tid bit goes back to making money and profits!!! If it was about bringing gas to the US citizens we would horde the alaska oil for our own refineries! Just use a little bit of common knowledge and math and it is obvious!! I went to college at florida state and even my economics professor there said the same thing!!! There are sooooo many factors you would have to list a page to name a few that effects gas but ultimately its is corparates and gov working for big money profits. Whether it be them gouging the heck out of everyone right before the swap to a new energy used for transprotation or Bush and all associated getting theirs before he leaves office. Maybe even Opec screwing the field players. Whatever the reason, we all know it's BS total BS and a scam we are just all to scared and lazy to take a stand to do anything about it!! It's been to long since we have had to defend ourself and now learning how to go to retalitate against ourself is not going to come easy or happen at all!! We will probably wind up being dictated like before the first revolution!! PLEASE READ your american history and follow politics and the blinders will soon come off!! You will then see the wolf in sheeps clothes that the US really is!! I would not ever try to compare the US to other countries that is not and never will be possible a just to say " hey we pay ten for gas" there are so may variable like import, gov, taxes, weight of your dollar, income ratio, amount of people using vehicles, environmental laws <-- this effects import and refining, overall demand and the list keeps going!! So please don't compare the US to other countries only the naive and uneducated would try that in a single sentence!!

 

low supply and high demand... also the fact that we are the country with the msot debt especialyl how much we owe cause the war.

everything is going up in price not only gas. reason why gas is sky rocketing is cause us is the coutnry with the most oil use.

All I know is that I will never be able to start my own airplane company, but I still have a chance to buy a Boeing 777!

 

They are basically putting oil up because they feel like it. They come up with a new damn reason every time. They can raise gas prices because no matter what, people still have to drive to work. I still see about the same amount of vehicles on the road as I used to when gas prices were .60

Because were putting so much money to war that we need to make up for it
so they do that by charging more for gas.
