Many Chinese people enjoy playing Runescape, (both OSRS and RS3) and are buying up usernames with numbers and letters in them, with special meanings. In the Chinese culture numbers have meanings.

Example:
"520" is often written in text messages and it means "I love you".

520 (wǔ èr líng) = 我爱你 (wǒ ài nǐ) “I love you.”

I only recently found out about the cultural meanings around some numbers, including 520, and how it is unlucky to live in apartment number 4 as the mandarin translation is similar to death.

I have lots of username logins and many contacts in the Chinese MMO markets so will definitely be looking through my list

I mean: thankyou, but i dont have these names. But, i think that not too many Chinese play RS, so these names are not too expensive.

My Chinese was much better when i was younger, i used to watch cartoons in mandarin. Gone off it the past couple years due to other commitments but definitely need to get back into it and rejoin the master race

 

I'm moving to Hefei (Anhui province) in a couple of months, then I'll have no excuse not to practice daily xD
