    I've noticed a number of users been banned/twc'd because they were linked via IP address.

    Most recent case is Dispute twc, because man ISP's use dynamic IPs it seems unfair to be linking accounts only via IP? As the same IP could be shared between a number of different households as time goes on.

    I actually agree with this on some level's, I disagree with it from the start,
    some people may be at college and some people may not be able to log on phone ip.. but on other hand it's reduced scammer as it warns people that this person may be unsafe but the argument on that is it's stopping vader's kinda.
    I don't know how I feel about this but I'm more on your side , support removal of it

    Yes what if someone gets banned on a college wifi?
    Thats actually very unfair now that i think about it..

    When I'm asked about cases involving an IP match, I can check the dates when the IP's were accessed. If the same IP was used by different Sythe users 4 years apart and you can see one of the users has been living a new location for the last 2 years, we won't punish both users if the person who moved ended up scamming someone. It can complicated dealing with these cases as much as it is to explain a hypothetical situation herein. I hope that makes sense though.
    In many cases, you can check the hostname to confirm this. It's similar to someone using a public IP at a library, which is something I was banned 9 years ago for. After disputing the ban and proving the IP used was from the library, the ban was lifted.
