[APPROVED/REVIEW] Forum Redesign

There have been many iterations I think

 

lets get some crypto ranks, I suggested on a post maybe weeks back

 

Bumping this as its gotten buried due to locked suggestions not being moved, was almost page 2 and deserves more feedback then its gotten considering the work put into making this.

 

This is as heck, support and hot for it

 

Look, I support a better crypto section for sure, but it's just annoying that you refuse to support things that need to be changed (ranks, mini ranks, etc), but are totally okay with a restructuring of the code and redesign of the website?

I think there or other things that need to be changed before revamping the forums structure.

I mean seriously. Icons, titles, mini ranks, etc, have been suggested time and time again and shit down repeatedly, but the second a high ranking member offers to restructure the site it gets over whelming praise... Am I missing something here? Do people just no care about ranks to which they pay for?

The crypto section seems fairly dead recently anyway

 

Agreed. No reason for this. Name sales deserve their own section.


I have suggested something like this in the past, because the Xbox name sales section and other sections are out of whack.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say my request was denied because I'm not a mod

You're kind of answering your own question. For the most part, DNT's should be disputed in the request a pardon section, since DNT's are added automatically if a user qualifies for a pardon. It's how it was originally set up, but I created the "Request a DNT" section to test it out. There are other reasons I have as well, but nothing has been discussed/approved yet.

I will be adjusting this.

The Playstation forum has been extremely dead and it already exists. I want to come up with something for a "Console Market" without so much individual focus.

Yes. I think it's due to discussions happening outside of the forum or in general discussion instead.

I already had this planned, but I still need approval from Richard. I don't think he will be a big fan though because of traffic the archive forum can bring (or brings) to Sythe.

I have never not supported new ranks or miniranks. I've been a strong supporter of this. I created a lot of miniranks that are available on the forum in prizeboxes. I also created all of the Pokemon miniranks. I was trying to work with @Grave on a massive rework for miniranks and Sythe Gold, but it was mostly a bunch of talk without much action or a definite plan because he wants so much to be done.

The issue with icons/fun ranks/etc. is everyone focuses on the RuneScape aspect and nothing else... or they submit work of low quality or poor effort.

Not exactly... but as a part of the redesign I want to incorporate your theme/layout too. I wish it wasn't so complicated to do, however.

Just wanted to make it clear that what I posted in the OP is more or less "trimming the fat" for the forum, but a very small amount at that. There's a lot more to be done in future drafts (yes, there's more to come), which will include more cutting/merging and even additions of other forums (like Fortnite). Thereafter, an entire reorganization/redesign will be drafted and presented for critique before some final revisions. If it's accepted and Richard approves of it, everything will be processed.

I apologize for the delay and that nothing was really done in the last month, but I've been swamped with a multitude of other things, including having surgery this last Friday. I have a lot more things planned than just this as well, but I hope I'll be able to find some time (or get help) so this can be more than just an idea/dream and come to fruition.

Sports, Health and Fitness seems like a relatively active forum why not just make people post in the right section. I enjoy talking about that kind of stuff
