Looking to learn some GFX

i am very interested in gfx, but i dont have much experience, i have adobe photoshop cs3 and gimp, but i was hoping somebody could show me some tutorials or add me on msn and give me some tips, thanks in advance, MDS

If you choose the retard's version full of fail aids and more, (GIMP), you fail.

 

TDD, we really don't need your negative comments, how do they help anybody? You could just rephrase that in a nicer way.

you're giving him the thought that Gimp can actually compete against Photoshop, which is far from true, Gimp has very little in the terms of true graphic design capabailities.

 

For those who do not want to waste $199, GIMP is effective. =].

Vert, if you mean torrents- Using torrent software often isn't a good way, half of them are infected, and the other half often don't have seeds, so, in the long run it's easier to purchase it. (Plus, most keygens don't work.)

 

Clank: Just so you know, EVERY photoshop keygen I have ever used has worked and not been infected. Photoshop is easy to crack for a reason.

Photoshop is easy to crack for a reason, so that beginners can get comfortable with the program, then when they recieve jobs as designer the company has to purchase the program.

and I have never used Gimp, but I have seen friends use it, and it looks so weak. Photoshop, I ca create anything I want as long as I have the right materials, and what the image looks like in my head. Gimp, looks like you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to just do what you had in mind in the first place.

And viper, the pen tool is simple really. Just that and the direct selection tool together and you can make any shape. If you already knew this, this was for MDS.

Ah, I just started the download last night, hopefully the crack will work.

Gimp sucks.. it never helped me do shit.. PS kicks ass, you can actually work with tuts.. the tuts for Gimp are all crappy :3 ALTHOUGH someone has made nice work of gimp and that is be ez (I think he used gimp for his Ironman thing)

 

Eh. If your not willing to spend $199 on a hobby, I'd use the gimp.
But, now its 80% downloaded, hope it turns out good.
