SytheIRC is back Online!

Okay, after a little bit of downtime, a switch in servers, for multiple reasons. Hopefully the new server will also be better than the old server, and we do have a bit more flexibility and power on it. There are now three methods that can be used if you would like to connect to the IRC server.

irc.sythe.org - The old, and probably most used one
irc.sytheirc.com - Just recently added

We are waiting for the DNS to propagate on both of those, so they may not work right away, in the mean time you can use the servers IP address:

72.20.17.172 - A direct connection (NEW)

File and Resident did most of the work since I was about to go to sleep, however if you use the direct IP I can guarantee it does work.

it was my fault the server died in the first place; i had to fix it.

im going on the irc right now. first time EVER. going to be an epic moment

btw, it worked for me and i joined through mIRC. i connected through the IP

 

I recommend getting in the habit of joining through irc.sythe.org instead of directly through the IP.

I'm getting this everytime i try to join. with IP or with irc.sythe.org

 

I've removed the zline, however it sounds like you got it for breaking a spamfilter rule, and it normally would last an hour.
