[TUT] Newbies Guide On How to reflect text in The GIMP [TUT]

I thought I'd write this cause I'm really very bored...(It is my first tut.)
This tutorial will teach you how to make something like this-
    [IMG]

    Step 1.

Create a new image, I sincerely hope you know how to do this, if you don't...
    1. Open the GIMP
    2. Click File > New
    3. Make the image the size you would prefer.
    4. Click Advanced Options > Fill with > Background Colour/Transparency -> I used white, because I thought it would be clearer, however, I was wrong.

    Step 2.

    Now for the text...

    Click on the 'T' symbol...
Use an easy font, not with vectors and all that other crap.

    Step 3.

On your white canvas, click where you want to place the text. In the dialog box, fill out what you want to reflect...

    Step 4.

Now, press Ctrl + L, it should bring up a dialog box like this-
    [IMG]
Click the button the arrow is pointing to, this will duplicate the layer. (Make sure you have the text layer selected, to do this, Click it.)

    Step 5.

Now, Bring up the layers dialog, click on the duplicated layer.
Now, click on the 'flip' tool...
(Make sure you have 'vertical selected'!)

    Step 6.

Now, with the flip tool, click on the text, then, it should look like this...

    Step 7.

    Then, select the move tool...
With this tool, slide the layer down, until it looks like this...(You may leave a space in between them if you want...)

    Step 8.

Now, open the layers panel again (Ctrl + L) and right click on the layer, it should come up with this...
    Click on 'Add Layer Mask'
A window should come up, click 'White (Full opacity)'.

    Step 9.

With the layers panel, select the layer mask, then select the gradient tool...
Drag the gradients tool from the BOTTOM of the reflected text to the TOP, while holding 'Ctrl'.
    It should look like this...
Experiment draggin the gradient tool from different distances to see different results.

Your done! Hopefully you like my tut!
