Try to reach 1,000,000 replies!

I would happily sacrifice 1000 people for a cure for AIDS.
AIDS kills hundreds, even thousands times that number each year.
And to the personwho asked if the 1000 people sacrificed would be innocent, how ignorant do you want to be? Do you think the hundreds of thousands of people who die of AIDS in 3rd world countries, and the Millions of orphans created by the disease each year are guilty of something?
Also to the person above me, AIDS is a retrovirus which prevents the bodys immune system from functioning, meaning if infected there is no resistance to illness or disease.
I do not know if it is true tht it originally comes from monkeys, but they would not have had to have sex with the monkey to contract the virus, it can be transferred by any bodily fluid for example blood, from hunting etc.
The fact is Most people who get AIDS are in 3rd world countries, they ARENT the drug addicts or the prostitutes, they have done nothing to deserve the disease so if sacrificing 1000 lives meant an end to the suffering i would happily sacrifice 1000 people, and i would happily be sacrificed.

 

I would easily sacrifice 1000 people, how about the people who commit murders? they could be used to cure aids, instead of letting them go to the chair.

 

Depends on who the 1,000 people are.
I'd imagine there would easily be 1,000 people in the world worth saving in place of AIDs victims.

What I was going to say.. but anyways, I only have one opposing view in this matter, NO, I would not kill the 1,000 people to cure AIDS since AIDS is an already treatable, and cureable in some instances, which is why I say no.
Also, wasn't this like kill 100,000 people or something??

The people of Africa are already starving, without AIDS more would just starve to death. Also most people in 1st and 2nd world countries who contract AIDS get it deservingly.

 

No I would not. Simply because AIDS is a balance in nature. You may say its unfair for people who have AIDS for no reason but rather than being unlucky, well it's unfair to kill 1,000 people for no reason but rather than being unlucky as well. If you have AIDS, Im very sorry, but I'd be even more sorry for the families who would have to bear with their loved ones being lost for something random.
