Yeah, you heard me. The name should be improved, and the description could be a little better.

    It should include:
    • Delphi
    • Python
    • PHP[Important]

I think I could fill this forum up with good tutorials of mine, I just need a good place to post them. Right now, this is more like some sort of dead dump. VB is dead. .NET can be decompiled. Why isn't more focus put on Delphi and PHP? PHP is as good as it gets for a web language, especially for Runescape parsers.

    Just my opinion.

VB6 is probably the language most used by Sythe users although that doesn't make it great...
I'm also surprised there's no more focus on Delphi as it would probably help people immensely with Scar scripting. Most people on Sythe just make Runescape parsers in VB6 even though I do agree PHP is so much more useful and effective.

VB6, being the language most used by Sythe, shows that the community, instead of focusing on an actual programming language, has used their potential on a dying programming language. Delphi, IMO, has better, more modern functions. For example, in Delphi 7 personal, I can do a lot of C++ stuff, such as, but not nearly limited to:
    SetWindowText
    FindWindow(Ex/A)
    MessageBox

It works just like C++, but the GUI creation is a lot easier.

Don't get me wrong here, but you can do all of those things in VB6 too...

    http://allapi.mentalis.org/apilist/SetWindowText.shtml
    http://allapi.mentalis.org/apilist/FindWindow.shtml
    http://allapi.mentalis.org/apilist/FindWindowEx.shtml
    Call MsgBox([Text], [Buttons], [Title])

I guess we are all biased as to which language we learn. Some like VB because of the simplicity, others like Delphi, some like C++ and only hardcore people like ASM.

Can someone tell me what python does? I've heard of it but never bothered to learn it. Also what good is delphi? Just I need some explanation why they are used and what good can come from it. If anyone could answer back that would be great.

Python is an object oriented scripting language, which is interpreted. That means, it isn't compiled. It is actually really great, especially when making open-source software. wxWidgets, a cross platform window library, is also extremely easy to use with Python, with an extension called wxPython.

@Jazz00006: I know that they can, it's just that, in the end, VB6 needs runtime files. That breaks the whole point of "compiling".
