Questions about Paintball/Airsoft - Please answer!!

Hey!

A lot of my friends have gotten into paintball and airsoft but I don't know much about them so I need someone to answer these questions. Please answer as much as you can thank you very much!




- Can AIRSOFT play with Paintball in a match (nothing serious just leasure)
- Which would you recommend for leasure/just for fun gaming with friends?
- Which would you recommend for "backyard target practice" thing.
- Can I play this in my backward for target practice or something?
- What type of guns are made? Are there sniper rifles?
- How much would you say avrage airsoft gun would go for?
- How much are ammo (for each)



- How much is basic protection armour thing
- Am I alloud to play this in public places (well not public, I mean like forests with friends) or do I got to go to a paintball/airsoft park?

- What type of guns are made? Are there sniper rifles? - Yes, however airsoft is going to have a better selection of sniper rifles
- How much would you say avrage airsoft gun would go for? - Anywhere from $70 to a couple hundred
- How much are ammo (for each) - Airsoft - cheep, paintball - fairly expensive



- How much is basic protection armour thing - You're probably looking at $60
- Am I alloud to play this in public places (well not public, I mean like forests with friends) or do I got to go to a paintball/airsoft park? - Check local laws.

 

Shawn_ already responded but I will try to touch up on a few things.


- Can AIRSOFT play with Paintball in a match (nothing serious just leasure) Like Shawn said, not on a field. I also wouldn't recommend playing paintball vs. airsoft as the airsofters would not have fun.
- Which would you recommend for leasure/just for fun gaming with friends? As an every day thing airsoft. Paintball is far too expensive to play every day or every weekend at that.
- Which would you recommend for "backyard target practice" thing. Airsoft, as I said before paintball is was too expensive for just messing around.
- Can I play this in my backward for target practice or something? You can, but again for messing around airsoft > paintball
- What type of guns are made? Are there sniper rifles? You can get all sorts. Woodsball guns are more of your sniper-type and speedball guns are more of your electric/autocockers that are more rapid but less accurate. As for airsoft, they make all kinds from automatics, snipers, pistols, shotguns, you name it.
- How much would you say avrage airsoft gun would go for? One from walmart.. etc.. can go from $10-$50 but if you really want to get into it and play for real they can run as high as $400+ On the other hand, a quality paintball gun can be over $2000.
- How much are ammo (for each) I'm not too sure about airsoft but paintballs run about $30/2000 for non-premium and $40-$100/2000 for premium.

Anything else just ask, I have played paintball for about 5 years.

 

Thank you very much I am going to look into Airsoft, more of them have that instead... let me look up how much ammo is for a Airsoft Sniper rifle (I love snipers lol)

 

Okay ammunition doesn't seem too expensive, like 10k BBs for 20-30 ain't bad on some sites.

Do the sniper rifels work good? I mean will I be getting my moneys worth? Like does it shoot exact where the scope is aiming (say without weather conditions)

I know stupid questions..

Also are all ammo's the same? (Size wise, not quality)

 

Very unlikely unless you are planning on dropping a lot of money on one..

Some bb's are different caliber i think.. but maybe I'm wrong I don't know a whole lot about airsoft.

 

Okay and (possibly) my final question is...

Do they make a lot of noise when fired?

All types of airsoft guns, not just sniper.

 

They make an audible click. I've noticed it varies a lot depending on the type of gun. You can't really tell until you fire it yourself.

- Can I play this in my backyard for target practice or something? Both you could. just depends on what your using for a target and how much you want to clean up
- What type of guns are made? Are there sniper rifles? Airsoft theres practically anything, Not the same with paintball
- How much would you say avrage airsoft gun would go for? Well you can buy at walmart for 20$ + Or go online or to a pro shop for all the way to a few 100$
- How much are ammo (for each) I can get a 5,000 case (Airsoft pellets) for 12.50$

 

airsoft is fun but i think paintball is better!

I've been an avid airsofter for a while.
First off, the BB type is very important, you should not be using anything less than premium .2's in your gun.

Sniper rifles have A LOT of variance depending on brand. Many come "stock" with moderate capabilities, but dumping in a bit of money can make a big difference.

I'd highly suggest doing a good amount of reserach before buying any gun... Many China-copied Aeg's and sniper rifles run from 80-150$, and MANY of those are actually quite good...

If you want to play it safe, get a Tokyo Marui. Expensive, moderate FPS. But always excellent quality, consistency, upgradeability.
