No, but respect is a rule. Now if an IRCop asks you to not do something, and makes it quite obvious that he/she doesn't want you doing that over a period of multiple days what do you think is going to happen if you keep doing it? And there is no specific rule on *chan pictures because anyone can post anything on there, but immature and insulting humor should be taken to a different channel.

 

Respect is a rule. So, if we're disrespectful, we're banned for three hours? Is this an official rule, and is it applied consistently to all aspects of the IRC? That's very funny, because I see that rule consistently not being applied.

Even if I absolutely had to be banned, why not some sort of a warning? If you're not in the mood, isn't that your problem that you need to deal with on your own time?

Also, if Shin doesn't like the pictures, why can't he get over it? They're not being posted 24/7, they're not being directed to him.

 

I can't be there to make sure everyone is respecting everyone else, however respect is an underlining theme of the IRC. The penalty of respect obviously varies on a case-by-case basis.

Because Shin is an IRCop and your not, so your the one that has to do the getting over of it. If they are not being direct to him, maybe you should do them in another channel, as I previously suggested.

there's no point in contesting shawn's ruling; he owns the IRC, and it's his right to be just as abusive and unreasonable as he wants (not that i'm implying that he is abusive/unreasonable).

i've said it before in previous topics; the IRC is not a democracy, it is a harsh, unfair, and cruel dictatorship run by a heartless tyrant (or it was; now shawn runs it).

i wasn't there when it happened, so i won't offer any opinion, but i will say that if shawn says it was justified, whether or not you think such, it was justified simply because his word is final.

as far as i can gather from this little dispute you two have had, shawn believes it was justified. as such, so do i. the ban isn't in place anymore, so, i pray you, move the fuck on.

Indice (DarbySniper) kicked and banned me, and set the channel mode -i. This expired, and I was able to rejoin. He immediately tried to do the same thing, but I unbanned myself and rejoined before he set -i. He then banned me, and set -i again.

What was his reason for this? We were discussing WWII, and I neglected to see something that he said. That's literally it.

Of course, he then threatened to report me for trolling, spamming, and not listening. I didn't troll, I wasn't spamming, and not listening? I didn't see his comment about the British Navy. Hardly warranted.

Like I said in the query, let shawn read the logs and make the decision, and I'll respect that.

30 You unban yourself
40 I reban you
50 I set -i (Because I want the channel open, not shut because of one lout)
60 You rejoin
70 GOTO 10
until I told you to remain banned until shawn has dealt with it, which you graciously conceded.
