The list updates the list hourly. If you don't trust it, Don't use it and don't post. It is completely safe.

well why does it not pull up a world when i click a box... my pop up blocker is off. and also, i right click and hit properties and says the adress url is blank

Just a Suggestion, but maybe you could put some ads around the Frame, could get you some much deserved Income, if you are planning to constantly update it that is

Also, how did you find out the world URL's and how often to they change?

 

I wrote a script that is on hourly cron that grabs the content of the Runescape World List, and extracts the URLs from it, then saves the lot of them to a database.

Doubt it, all I know is that it loads a Runescape screen, since I don't play Runescape I didn't enter any details

 

Look at the source of the list with all the buttons. There are links that send you to, for example -

play.php?l=3&w=http://sl1.runescape.com/l0,p0,j1

l is the world number, and w is the url.

Play.php prints an iFrame to that url.

If you need verification that it IS in fact the actual jagex site, right click it, and click open frame in new tab or window. It will open, and jagex's javascript will redirect you to their main page, since it is out of a frame.

What is the use of an auto updating world list? I don't understand. I'm not trusting it based on the facts that yes, it could be a phisher, and I don't see the advantage of using such tools.

 

Jagex occasionally changes world URLs. So, either someone can go refresh the world list page until a particular world is open (REALLY annoying if its a popular world), and write down the link, or this bot can constantly check and update.
