what do i do

i work for my uncle at his hot dog shop...i get paid 4.50 an hour which is barley enough to pay for car insurance and gas. his shop bussiness is slowing down. he had 1 worker quit, 1 got fired. now all that is left is me and my cusin. he always says that im his best worker and all this other shit. so on a whim i turned an application into dunkin donuts. i have to call back to set up an interview. what should i do. i would hate to quite at my uncles. when its busy its just me and him (3-6) at night. if i quit no 1 will be there help him but more money at dunking donuts...what do i do??

my cuson works from 11- 3 i work from 3 -7. all my unlce does is sit on his butt.

 

tell your uncle to hire someone else and that you need to do something else.
Say that dunkin donuts is different - and that you dont want to always be aroudn your family - you want some time off - and work somewhere else

Well, I'd politely say to him. Hi, I applied for a job @ Dunkin Donuts (Pwnage Bagels, Donuts, and Sandwiches; for all that don't live in New England) and that I'll be working there. Then give him advice on who he might be able to hire.

 

Dude your getting ripped off majorly, I think minimum wage is up to $8.30 an hour now
plus at dunkin donuts you probably get great perks like free donuts

 

Tell him what you did before you confirm with the other job.

find out what they will pay you, and ask him to match it.

If he wants you, he will pay. If not, you are free to go. no hard feelings.

Dude...you are so uneducated about work. The national minimum wage is $5.85. But in my state, Connecticut, minimum wage is $7.65.
