    So I have my backup code.

    I do not have my QR image.

    I saw that thread of @Sythe mentioning it's some hashed something or other not a raw seed.

    What good is it if it can't be used to re-enable the authenticator on a device ?

    Use your back-up code as your 2fa code and you will be able to log in. Then you can disable this yourself. Once you disable, you will re-scan the code from within your profile.
