I voted for rap, even though I like both.

I listen to rap more. :|

 

If you had reading and understanding skills you would know what I said. For example Solja Boy is one simple beat you put in the background and just sing some gay lyrics that don't make sense. Rap it is sometimes hard to put a beat to vocals, but it's a hell lot harder with Rock and Metal, you have to have a guitarist, bass, and drums and all those instruments have to go with the vocals and not interfere with the vocals and it is just so complicating. Rap is just simple and it sounds like 10 tons of bull shit mixed with raw fish in a blender.

Rock and Metal also has creative lyrics, where as Rap is just about simple stuff that everyone knows about like sex and ****** gangs in Los Angeles. And Daft Punk isn't Rock since it is not made with guitar. All Rock is guitar and drums, so maybe you should learn about your genres before you talk shit about them. And I know about Rap because I used to listen to it and I listened to it for about 6 years, then converted to Metal, but you can remain a gay wigger fag and listen to your shit, I don't care.

Daft punk and rap are two different things, therefore you can not prove that rap has talent by saying daft punk has talent. I think Rock and Metal is a lot more creative than rap and way better. Rap isn't really singing, it's a guy talking with a computer(fake) beat in the background. Rock takes so much more talent it's not even funny. And rappers probably make more money because it's one guy doing it, not a group or band, but if it's one guy it most likely sucks and isn't creative.

Rock/Metal>rap<---- uncreative, sucks, and shouldn't be considered a genre of music.

 

my vote went to rock purely because overall i think it sounds better, allthough i do have some rap songs.

I started listening to Metal as a "scene", I liked rock originally, and really hated rap. Groups such as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd have been some of my soul inspiration since then.

Since I started listening to Metal, I've started to appreciate it more. I listen to it mostly for the instrumentals, but with bands like Morbid Angel, the vocals are just magnificent. You may say it's just screaming, but for me, the brutality and heaviness that it displays is just legendary - This is part of the reason why I listen to Death Metal more than any other genre.

Rap, in my opinion, really isn't music. I could even go so far as to liken it to a poet in a night club. You get your beats and music, and some rhyming on top of it.
