no, you GTFO, there are so many rap/rock threads, nobody even cares, and there are soo much other genres too. Also within the rap or rock genre there are so many subgenres, so stop stereotyping genres.

 

poeple eric sed me to post my beats on this forum how can i do that?

rock anyday..... id rather listen to dam tribal music before id listen to rap....

 

Not only do I think rap sounds bad, but they don't even have instruments, they use the computer to form their beats and they hardly have any beats. They normally have drums as a beat and they get it from the computer, not a real guy playing the drums. So rap's talent is only vocals and since they have a low amount of beat it's easy to sing with a low amount of beat.

In Rock you have drums, bass, electric guitar, and vocals. The vocals in Rock and Metal have to put their singing to match the beat, but for rap it is so easy to put your singing to the beat since there is hardly any beat.

So Rock has more talent than rap, which is a fact, and Rock is better than rap, which is my opinion.

 

soulja boy is basically for the wannabes id say. personally i like young jeezy, but i dont like rock which isnt too hardcore. i voted rap tho :\. however dance is the best

Modern rap is shit, the only good rap was the gangster rap during the eastcoast vs west coast era.

Rock actually takes coordination of musicians and years of knowledge and practice to be able to preform. Rap, on the other hand, had all of it's beats drawn up by computers.

sure the rappers write their lyrics and "design" their beats but can you honestly say youre more impressed by a rap song than a rock song?

yes, i honestly can say that i am more entertained and impressed with rap songs.. rock just hurts my head with all the instruments at one time.. really annoying and shit... my opinion

also, there is rap like rage against the machine.. and dont say they arent rap coz lets face it, they are.. when in a rock song do u hear someone say 'nigga' u do in rage coz he is a rapper lol.. they use the same instruments as rock too.. so sometimes there is more talent than rock

rage against the machine dont hurt my head and arent annoying for some reason, even though they use rock instruments... maybe coz its rap lol

 

thats just like saying daft punk dont have ANY talent, coz all there music is computerized and shit.. so i guess that eliminates ur point in saying there is no talent in making beats via computer. I challenge u to make ur own rap beat at the same standard as Dr. Dre etc.

and what is this 'amount of beat' shit.. how do u even measure that, is there even such thing.. if ur meaning the amount of instruments and sounds used in a song.. they both have there fair share. Sometimes rock has minimal instruments and it is a slow sound, then rap can be packed with fast beats that include various instruments/sounds.. and vice versa

Rock FTW. Rap is good, its just not as much on the "music" side. (Rap only sounds good if its like hip-hop if its just plain gangster talk fast its not that great.)

 

i prefer to listen to rock but u kno i like a little 50 cent soulja boy. u kno mix it up

 

I dont see why people make such a big deal out of it. I for one, like both kinds of music, therefore I will not vote . If people don't like rock, or rap then its their choice, because these two genres are not the only ones out their. Not everyone likes rock, and not everyone likes rap, but you dont have to make fun of people for liking one or the other.
