My plumber tried to convert my family to Christianity today

Ok so my dad kept flushing q-pins down the toilet and it became clogged so we had to call the plumber. So he came and he was a pretty cool guy like joked around and stuff, and then he started talking about the bible and then started talking about Christianity. So then he found out we weren't Christians and started preaching.

I was in my room and I had to listen to him preach to my parents for 2 hours before he finally left. He tried to get my parents to go to his church and even tried to get them to say that prayer where you accept Jesus into your life. He also said that he is going to come back tomorrow and give them a Bible. And yes you are probably wondering why my parents didn't just tell him to gtfo, but they were just trying to be polite, and now they are stuck in this mess lol.

So yeah post here if you had religious people annoy you like this. It's kinda sad, because he seemed like a chill guy and then he began fucking preaching religious shit.

I was tempted to do that, but you know that Christians never walk away feeling stupid, they walk away thinking you are the devil lol.

I mean in his mind he thought he was doing a good thing: trying to save my family from an eternity of hellfire. So I didn't want to seem like a douchebag because he was a pretty nice guy.

 

If he is trying to convert you, then you can basically go all out on him without being accused of pushing your beliefs, etc. Take advantage of this opportunity!

 

yeh, i am religious but not a walking fag who thinks that if your not Christian, you need to become one. I dont care if your athiest.


But yeah like the people that come to your house and ask if you want to be Jehovah's witness and crap. I jut say, "NO thanks" then shut the door. Also do that to people who try to sell me Lysol.

Yeah, I can basically just ask him to prove to me that God exists and that would be the end of it.

But yeah I think my parents already fell into the trap because now he thinks that they are semi-interested into becoming Christians. So I don't know whats going to happen tomorrow when he takes time out of his day to get a bible and actually bring it to our house lol.

 

one time a stupid kid at my class was like convert to being a jew like me. and i had been told u cant really convert must be born a jew so i was like stfu but of course he wouldnt leave. he put his hands up in the jewish star thing and starting singing the toreh(didnt spell right) while telling me to convert. i finally got so mad i owned him in the gut lol. thats basicly my story lol

 

im a Cristian i think ashiest should keep an open mind but to preach in someones home is just unreasonable.

once some mormans came to are door and my mom invited them in for the heck of it.

they said that the morman church has this thing where you can marry your husband/wife and you will be married in heaven to. my mom was like ya right one life time is long enough...they were shocked

 

Well it's kind of hard to keep an open mind to old facts. I thought and read about Christianity more than the average person, and I already concluded that the religion is an absurdity. The only way you can convince me is if God comes down to Earth and does something miraculous. But then you wouldn't need faith to believe in God anymore, since you have just seen him with your own eyes. And since that will probably never happen, I will probably remain an atheist for the rest of my life.

Every month or so in the UK I get preachers coming to my door, everyone just slowly closes the door as they're still preaching. It may be rude but people should make their own decisions. So really, just give your plumber a good beating

I would of simply told him that i do not believe in that kind of thing, and if he kept pushing it on me, i would act more sternly and tell him again.

Whenever I get preachers coming to my door, I just crank up good ol' rock classics like Highway to Hell - AC/DC, Bat out of Hell - Meatloaf etc.

He has no right to invade you like that. Absolutely none. If he tried to do that to me, I'd be like get the fuck out and never hire him again.
