Hi there I recently got hold of another laptop strictly for general use. Not running any games (not even runescape when trading gold). Do any of you experienced users have any tips or 'must have/do' advice for a user who is usually accustomed to windows machines? I will mainly be using the laptop for business projects, research, general browsing and entertainment. Specs: 4GB ram and 500GB hdd No plans to upgrade system. I'm surprised how smooth the OS is running so far and how well I am adapting to it. Ubuntu must have come a long way since I last used it years and years ago
The terminal is dope and overclasses cmd without any doubt I suggest to learn what the terminal has for possibilities and explore
I'm assuming the latest version? Yes I would say learning some simple Linux commands. A quick Google search will help you. Of course, downloading some of those applications/games do not really need to be executed. Just the thought that Linux is open source and there a lot of apps that are cross-platform.
