    Tom Morello "The Nightwatchman"

As many people know, Tom Morello was the lead guitarist for bands Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave. For those years he was knowing many for his great guitar solos and very creative effects. Now he has returned as a solo artist under the identity "The Nightwatchman". I think it's great to see him play an accoustic guitar and to sing, since both of these he never really did while in the two bands. I think this shows a great new side of him that has never been revealed before.

Discuss/comment on what you think of him now.

I LOVE Rage, and I think Tom Morello is extremely talented, even with vocals and acoustic, but I just don't really like his solo work.

both bands were great while he was in them but insturmentally I don't see him as being that spactacular the only thing he was really good at was effects and anyone with some free time can mess around with effects. but as for his new solo project I'll have to check out and see if he is any good at being a song writer\singer if he has even written his own stuff.

Err... Rage is back. He isn't doing Nightwatchman currently. Only if they are non-scheduled shows at bars and whatnot?

Being probably the biggest Rage fan here on Sythe (want to compare librarys?), I definitley listen to Nightwatchman, I own all of Morello's single work, One Man Revolution CD and Bold As Rage CD. Good stuff. I think the acoustic work is nice, but if he did some solo stuff with all of his tricks (mostly in Rage), that would be awesome. But hey, now since Rage is back, maybe we will see some new work by him. And obviously with Zach, Tim and Brad.

Will people please say RATM? There's a well known heavy metal band called Rage, it will only lead to confusions when that term is used.

Considering they released 18 albums, yes they are pretty big. And yes, they are one of the better heavy metal bands out there.
