1) Let's say I have two columns in my webpage, #menu and #content, side by side.
How can I make the #menu take the height of the #content automatically when the page loads?
2) How can I make the dotted border of a link not show up when I click on it?

Have a container div, and don't specify it's height so it will auto take the height of the content of it, then have thw two columns inside the container div, having #content relative positioned, with a height value of 100% so you'd have this as your markup:

<div id="menu">

Content here too​

</div>

Content for it goes here​

</div>

your css would be:

#container {
position: relative;
/* anything else you want to style or position it */
}

#menu {
float:left;
/* whatever else */
}

Well I started TDD-Designs, and the design i did for it i was more then happy with, but the site itself was a pain in the ass, honestly, "TDD Designs" has WAY too many D's for my liking.

xL-Designs was going to work, i was going to use it until i partnered up with an amazing programmer/scripter/animator, and he also had his own site, so we're not working under one name, Novo Studios.

And i'm not sure about why i'm never happy with my designs, i just don't like my own work for myself.

Eh, how do you save the things you make in Photoshop to upload them to Imageshack.us, when I try and upload to imageshack it sais Bad file type.

 

youre probably trying to upload the .psd ...

File>Save As>and pick the filetype (I usually use .png cause of the quality, but .gifs for animations)
