    Hey guys,

So there are a couple of games that I currently juggle. I'd like to be more consistent in terms of what I'm playing/doing. Hard to get good at certain competitive games if you aren't putting more time into it. Anyone have any sound advice for sticking to one, maybe two games at a time? Thanks

Choose which game is more enjoyable to play and start to grind it. Gaming should be fun.

    This.

I would advice you to choose the game of which’s ’grinding’ aspect of the game you enjoy more. If you keep grinding a game you’re not completely enjoying you’ll burn yourself out really quickly, which will result in to you taking a break and possibly making a bigger dent in your skills.

I tend to only stick to games I find myself to be good at in 1-2 months. If I dedicate large time and effort to something, but find myself mediocre, I will typically switch back to what I am most comfortable with. I believe you have to find a game with a proper medium between your ability to plan and ability to act. High emphasis on response time or action based PVP games will focus more on your ability to act, while static / PvE games will focus more on your ability to plan. I've found my skills leaning more towards the planning side of things :)

I actually had this issue quite a lot for the last couple of years. I would get pretty good at games (top 10% or better) but then just switch games. The advice that the others gave is valid and true, you have to actually enjoy the game. To be competitive at a game you pretty much have to play it 5+ hours a day, so you'll have to be able to enjoy it to endure that.

I believe it comes down to what you're really expecting to get out of the game. For example, in order to become good at Fortnite, you need to put hours and hours in every day until you can really become a top tier player. Once you become really good, the game seems to become more fun.

There are a lot of games I don't play anymore due to the fact that the grind to become good takes more time than I'm willing to invest.

I suggest playing 2 games, 1 game where you can really sit there and grind, then one game you can just play for fun with or without friends.

I appreciate everyone's intake. This answer definitely takes the cake though! I thought I could keep 3 or 4 grindy games under my belt but it became just too much to handle. That definitely makes things a lot easier on me. I can always swap out games I can play for fun with no pressure. :)

Just play what's fun. Don't sweat too much over it. Remember to go outside and live a balanced life, more importantly.

You must enjoy the whole experience, no reason to play if you just feel its a waste of your time, thats why i love to be 14 hours at day training at osrs

really for something like this the best advice i can give is what games you enjoy the most or can see yourself excelling in quickest. me personally i always played first person shooers (call of duty) now the only 3 games i play is apex, runescape and a game my brother got me into darwin profject (such a fun game id highly recommend). good luck with your gaming adventures fury!
