    Question for Atheists

Absolutely right. An omnipotent God is impossible.

Of course, I can't see why Theists don't just concede this minor point, and argue instead that God is all-powerful except for such logical impossibilities. It wouldn't really affect their argument much, except to make it much more logical.

    Question for Atheists

Theists probably would concede this minor point, but Christians would rather take the time to fabricate some complex illogical argument to make themselves seem smart, and do this until the opponent realizes there is no point in arguing with this person.

    Question for Atheists

not all Christians think like this. only the arrogant extremists who wish to have some sort of importance in the world, and turn to religion to do so think like that. If you talk to someone normal you'll actually find out that you can in fact believe in evolution and perceive god as you want as long as you believe that a superior being exists. In this case it would make much more sense because science cant exactly explain what happened in the history of the universe. Scientists can only theorize what happened as can religion.

    Question for Atheists

Ok I don't know exactly what to say with all the new posts but "i am you aint i?"
Said that people can just do whatever they want then go to confession and be forgave. But it is not like that. Not at all if you really want the sin's gone. To get them gone you have to be sorry for what you have done and promise to actually give a damn and try in the future.

And I Don't really agree with the fact about saying if you do not believe in God you will go to hell and that's why people turn Christian or whatever you want to call it to believe in God. This makes a good argument and I do not have more to say about that.

"Another look at things is why can't God make things happen the way you want them to?" That question right their with all my beliefs is a load of bullshit. God doesn't hand the stuff you want (including healness of friends/family members or happiness) Sometimes thing's happen for the better of what should happen , like if a family member dies I believe God wanted that to happen so he could have another angel or whatever. But God usually give's you Opportunities to be happy , or to make up with a friend or to get that girlfriend/boyfriend. These lazy people think God will give them what they want but no , And no.

If you dont undertsand my post I am sorry Sometimes I do not write clear enough for other people to understand me. I only understand my posts and that's ok..

    Question for Atheists

Well, in my years in the church (all 16 of them) I heard from 6 differant preachers and countless youth leaders that God is the only way to heaven. Granted this is a Babtist/Methodist belief, but they all said the same thing. That being if you don't have Jesus in your heart you burn in hell with the rest of them. If you never hear of Christianity or are raised by your culture into another it doesn't matter, you burn. seems kind of mean huh?

Prayers, are pointless. Christians have tragedy and triumph as do athiests. The only differance is that Christians can sometimes claim they are happier than the solemn athiest. This is similar to comparing a drunk man to a sober one. We all have tragedy, we all die, we all loose people. There is no correlation to Christians leading better lives.

Might I recomend this video to explain my thoughts on prayers.

    Question for Atheists

That is bible absent knowledge there. It says you may sin, and you may be forgiven, but repeated sins on purpose don't give you credibility. Its basically like court, or baseball.

Also you may not be able to prove a god does exist, but you can not prove that he does not exist. You are given free will either way, to do what you want, when you want.

Also how was the world created, prove that the big bang theory happened, and if it did, where did the big ball of matter come from? Its another "what came first, the chicken or the egg," at the end it matters on opinion, age, and morals.

    Question for Atheists

No it's the choice of logic or the absense of it replaced by a simple solution to a complex problem...

    Question for Atheists

Here is a line of reasoning that Christians will frequently use to try to rationalize the complete lack of evidence for God's existence. In the book "The Case for Faith," the author Lee Stroble interviews Peter Kreeft, Ph.D. Dr. Kreeft says the following:

"Scripture describes God as a hidden God. You have to make the effort of faith to find him. There are clues you can follow. And if that weren't so, if there was something more or less than clues, it's difficult for me to understand how we could really be free to make a choice about him."
Clues? Hidden? According to the Bible God incarnated himself. He created an entire human body named Jesus. That is not a "clue" -- that is a huge, obvious piece of evidence. It is very hard to "hide" a 170-pound human being who is running around performing miracles on every street corner. Then you collect the stories of those miracles and publish them in a book. Where is the hiding in that?

This has been taken from www.godisimaginary.com it has alot of proofs that god doesnt exist.

    Question for Atheists

atheists criticize Christians for having an illogical belief in God, but they can produce no logical reason for not killing this man. they can try to give a reason such as, "He is my genetic brother," but this doesn't stand up to logic. Why would it be wrong to kill your genetic brother? There is no logical reason, but you can see atheists try to give a spiritual reason. they are actually resorting to the 'brotherhood of man' as a reason not to kill this man. This is a spiritual reason, not a logical one. On the other hand, a Christian can simply use his 'illogical belief in God' to provide a very logical reason for not killing the man; "My Lord tells me to love him. My Lord wouldn't approve of me killing him." An atheist can't defend his own illogical belief without being a hypocrite when he criticizes belief in God as illogical.

    Question for Atheists

All Atheists would not kill that man? If he was stealing my food, I would tell him to stop. If he did it anyway, I would defend my food, since it is the means to my survival. I'd probably try not to kill him, as it is a human instinct to keep other humans alive, and perhaps I could use him in the future, but if he continued stealing, then yes, I would kill him.

    Question for Atheists

    You're rambling...

Anyways, an Athiest is no more likely to kill a man than a Christian. and christians are not as sinless in the art of murder as they might think. God himself seems to be a revengfull and hearless God at times.

"•God takes away Adam and Eve's eternal life, thus commiting the first murder, and holds their descendants responsible and visiting Adam and Eve's punishment down on their children. In today's moral standards, the sins of the father die with the father.

•God destroys all life on Earth in a great flood, except for Noah and his family, for failing to worship him.

•God's tenth plague upon the Israelites was the unjustified murder of all firstborn sons in Egypt, which undoubtedly included little children.

•Before sending the plagues to Egypt, God "hardened Pharaoh's heart" so that he wouldn't let the Israelites go, so he could have an excuse to visit horrible plagues upon them, like boils, killing cattle and murdering all firstborn sons. (Exodus 4:21)

•God orders the Levites to kill their "every man and his neighnor" for worshipping another god. This cost 3000 lives. (Exodus 32:27)

•God sends a plague to the Israelites, apparently feeling that mass-butchery wasn't enough of a punishment. (Exodus 32:35)

•God kills Onan for refusing to impregnate his late brother's (whom God also slew) wife and instead "spilling his seed on the ground." (Genesis 38:8-10)

•God kills the entire populations of Soddom and Gammorah (again, including women, children and infants) for practicing certain sexual techniques.

•God gives all Philistines hemorrhoids in their pubic areas. (1 Samuel 5:9)

•God kills over 50,000 people for looking at an ark. (1 Samuel 6:19)

•God kills 70,000 people because King David decided to have a census. (1 Chronicles 21:7-14)

•God approves of slavery, and instructs owners to beat their slaves. (Proverbs 29:19)

•And, finally, God makes sure that if you are guilty of even the smallest transgression, you shall suffer endlessly for all eternity, following a dramatic homecoming for Jesus, who will be extremely pissed off at everyone for putting him to death, even though it was just the Romans and even though he knew what was going to happen beforehand, and he could have easily avoided it by using his power as God to perform a miracle and prove who he was. (See the entire book of Revelation)"

    Question for Atheists

whats so hard about answering the damn question, all i've heard is you guys saying you wouldnt kill him or you would tell him to stop. the question asks to give a logical reason for not killing the man, not what you would do.

jeb i dont give a shit about a bunch of verses. that has nothing to do with the question.

    Question for Atheists

You say "kill him" as if it's a bad thing. :D
If he's a threat to my survival rate, and refuse to be rational, I would kill him.

Also, don't call Atheists hypocrites without backing it up. Especially not when you reek of hypocrite, just take a look at your signature, then read this Biblical quote:

"If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell." ~Matthew 5:29-30

So, want me to get you a knife and a spoon? Hypocrite.
