A lot of people talk about plugging a HDMI cable into their computer and then in to their TV to project the image on to their TV however, I would like the opposite.

I am looking to buy a TV however the main aim is to project what I'm doing on the TV to my computer (I am wanting to play the new Crash/Spyro game and share screens with my friend so he can watch me) however I don't know how to do this. Do I need specific cables for this? The HDMI cable is enough but I have to do something on my PC? Or should I buy a TV with bluetooth and that will fix the problem?

Highly depends on what is on the TV that you're trying to project. What is the source of the image? An xbox/ps4 or something? Or is it directly from the TV?

The only way to easily 'copy' the image I can think of is to use a capturecard. HDMI capturecards go for around $100 I think, give it a quick google.

Yeah it's from a PS4, seems it's the only option, I was hoping there would be cables or a certain TV I could purchase to bypass this. I guess not.

    Thanks!

There might be an app that does it but that's not gonna be a cheap TV at all, as far as traditional methods go it's still gonna be the old fashioned capture card.

I don't think it's possible with a laptop, maybe if you buy an external monitor it's possible.

Ps4 has some protection policies that prevent this. Some computer monitors even don’t work on it because of the protection. Not gonna be possible with anything but a capturecard

Of course this is doable, I think everyone has seem to forget about capture cards. This is their primary use. A capture card will copy everything you're doing on the tv to your desired PC.

If you are just looking to get 2 of the same images on both monitors. You could use a "hdmi splitter".

HDMI ports are either input or output, not both. It depends entirely on the ports.
