Can Blind People Dream?

I have no idea, but it is a very good question.

If they could dream, What do they see, Do they see darkness and hear thing in their dreams?

We see and hear, maybe they just hear.

 

It would be a logical assumption that it is indeed possible they dream, as it is the subconcious mind that generates the images with memories, so as long as they were once able to see it would be sure they can dream too.

 

I dont think that you dream with your eyes, more like a imagination.
So i do tihnk that blind people have dreams. its like a "vision" =d

They proberly can, i mean, you think things, you don't see thgem.

 

Do they Sleep? Yes.

Are they extra-fucking-terrestrials? No.

They're humans, everyone can dream. You can dream, blind people can dream, I can dream.

It's actually a good question, blind people can't see and many have never saw anything in there life, so how would they know what there dreaming about and how could they dream about nothing they've ever saw..But i dunno o.o

 

Well, being able to dream is like an imaginary form of reality, right? So whatever is possible here, is possible there. So if the blind person had seen things before, they would be able to see those things in their dreams. Though if the blind person had been blind since birth, then they wouldn't have any images but just sound (unless they also lost that, or smell, taste and touch).

 

ehmmm, im pretty sure they can dream.... as long as they have a mind.

 

Maybe they dream in their sleep. I would like to know what it would be like when your blind is everything like black or white.

It would really depend on the reason they are blind, during dreams the main part of the brain is the optical section. Logically, we could assume that if a person was blind due to damage to their eyes, and not the brain, they would still be able to have dreams.

 

Dream's aren't only visual, you know. It's perfectly possible to dream about sounds, smells, etc.

 

Your dreams are made up in your head no seen. If they were blinded in there life time they probably would have dream about seeing

 

Well, I believe the OP was referring to the visual aspect of dreams, although I could be mistaken.

 

Im curious to what people that have been blind there whole life dream about, how they imagine things, especially colours.

 

Of course blind people can dream, we dont dream with our eyes do we?

On the other hand, if they were BORN blind and have never seen anything, they would most likely use their subconscious to create something, probably in monochrome.
