Scammed ! help plz ( '' Wolf '' )

I am scammed.. I tried to buy osrs from a guy. Called Wolf

Scammed me for €43

 

It is an imposter he has also scammed another guy for 52 euro
discord appears WoIf#5223 where was wolfs is Wolf#5223

how they both appear on discord


I have contacted wolf and made him aware of the Imposter i hope he will take steps to prevent other users being hit as the discord names are very very similar
however it is an Imposter so I am not sure how much he can do to prevent this.

 

Shouldn't be wolf's issue. Its not like skype where it populates people with a similar name, you have to type it in wrong to show up. Or not get a confirmation pm.

 

He almost got me.. be careful always request a private message !!

 

It is not his issue, but if he wanted he could add a small warning beside his discord links on each thread to ensure no1 gets scammed by this specific imposter.

He wouldn't be required to though, his decision as its not his fault and most big market users get imposters eventually.

 

I added this to all my threads and haven't had an imposter scam ever since.

 

Hi @middenveld99 - As @chuckle mentioned, you were scammed by a Discord impostor you should always request a Sythe confirmation PM to make sure you are speaking with the correct person. Discord Nitro makes it extremely easy to appear to be someone else, you should give this thread a reason so something like this doesn't happen again - Verify the user you are speaking with before trading!
