    Question for Atheists

There are still a number of problems with this testimony, the first and foremost being that I cannot verify it.

    Question for Atheists

to be honest if there was a god and satan, then satan is a much nicer person.
in the bible it says god has killed thousands of people, and satan only killed like 3? and satan will except anyone into "hell" he doesnt care what religion you have chosen or anything, where as god u have to abide by stricked guidlines.

    Question for Atheists

Here's a list of the crimes God has committed to mankind, shamefully ripped off of daltonator.net

•God takes away Adam and Eve's eternal life, thus commiting the first murder, and holds their descendants responsible and visiting Adam and Eve's punishment down on their children. In today's moral standards, the sins of the father die with the father.

•God destroys all life on Earth in a great flood, except for Noah and his family, for failing to worship him.

•God's tenth plague upon the Israelites was the unjustified murder of all firstborn sons in Egypt, which undoubtedly included little children.

•Before sending the plagues to Egypt, God "hardened Pharaoh's heart" so that he wouldn't let the Israelites go, so he could have an excuse to visit horrible plagues upon them, like boils, killing cattle and murdering all firstborn sons. (Exodus 4:21)

•God orders the Levites to kill their "every man and his neighnor" for worshipping another god. This cost 3000 lives. (Exodus 32:27)

•God sends a plague to the Israelites, apparently feeling that mass-butchery wasn't enough of a punishment. (Exodus 32:35)

•God kills Onan for refusing to impregnate his late brother's (whom God also slew) wife and instead "spilling his seed on the ground." (Genesis 38:8-10)

•God kills the entire populations of Soddom and Gammorah (again, including women, children and infants) for practicing certain sexual techniques.

•God gives all Philistines hemorrhoids in their pubic areas. (1 Samuel 5:9)

•God kills over 50,000 people for looking at an ark. (1 Samuel 6:19)

•God kills 70,000 people because King David decided to have a census. (1 Chronicles 21:7-14)

•God approves of slavery, and instructs owners to beat their slaves. (Proverbs 29:19)

•And, finally, God makes sure that if you are guilty of even the smallest transgression, you shall suffer endlessly for all eternity, following a dramatic homecoming for Jesus, who will be extremely pissed off at everyone for putting him to death, even though it was just the Romans and even though he knew what was going to happen beforehand, and he could have easily avoided it by using his power as God to perform a miracle and prove who he was. (See the entire book of Revelation)

Compare that to Satan's criminal records:

•Satan, like Prometheus, gave knowledge to humanity by giving Eve the fruit from the forbidden tree. Because of Satan, humanity gained knowledge of good and evil, according to Genesis. Since we couldn't have possessed knowledge of good and evil before eating the fruit, Adam and Eve couldn't have known that eating the fruit was evil, so it seems a little harsh to punish them as severely as God did. Satan gave humans true capacity for moral judgment, unlike God, who simply expected everyone to mindlessly obey his orders.

•There is no biblical record of Satan engaging in the murder of torture of any human being, unlike God, who is guilty (and proudly guilty) of commiting genocide.

•There is no biblical record of Satan ever ordering someone to kill someone else, unlike God, who has repeatedly demanded the deaths of those who commit even the smallest of offenses.

•Satan will not be holding a massively dramatic ceremony full of blood and death for the return of his son to Earth. God apparently will.

    Question for Atheists

I don't remember it word for word, but it was choice little paragraph from some little weasel's post, where he claimed that since homosexuals exist, God could not exist, since God would never allow homosexuals to exist.

That is false. That statement presupposed that a God would be against homosexuality, and that he would do everything to stop it from occurring.

    Question for Atheists

Agreed, you need proof. If there is no proof there who can believe it?

    Question for Atheists

We can't prove it one way or another. So, let us use logic and decide for ourselves.

If only everyone used logic, unfortunatly about...oh i don't know...83% of the people in America fail to use the logic their very God gave them.

By the way, nice find Personal Jesus.

    Question for Atheists

The Burden of proof is upon the believer. If it weren't, the existence of Santa, the Smurfs, and whether or not you are in the Matrix would all not be assumed to be false.

    Question for Atheists

Most legitimate believers already have all the proof they need, otherwise they wouldn't believe it. It comes from their own experience. You do not have the benefit of their experience to draw your own conclusions from the evidence, as you are limited to your own single perspective. So you utilize your own perspective of logic and analysis and are unable to find what they have found, so in your perception, it becomes false.

IMO, both parties are not entirely right and not entirely wrong, they just share different perspective on things, and both try to force their perspectives on others... so it goes, and here I am participating in the perspective cycle, sharing my own perspective. Fun times.

    Question for Atheists

I just had to remind everyone of this, it made me lol.

Just gtfo of Something for All...

Proving the existence of a transcendent force/s is physically impossible. You can philosophize as much as you like but you will never prove an existence or in-existence of a supernatural being.
Through many cases where people have, "contacted the dead", or been able to re-construct the events before a death by touching an item found in a murder scene, resulting in the delusional illusion of a vision, the integrity of these cases are extremely questionable.

For instance, if you ever have a spare $100, blow it on a 10minute phone call to the psychic line. Listen to what they say carefully, its all extremely broad and general.

Getting back to the subject, I have a quote for you to argue about.
I got it from the textbook, "Living Religion, Third Edition" which I believe has been revised for the HSC course (dont quote me on that).

For a bit of humor... I would like to point out the following, taken from the last point of that list (which i did not include, seeing it was mostly irrelevant, inconsistent and pathetic)...

Think about it... if God offered a plasma screen TV and a tight asian fuckbuddy, instead of love and salvation, then dont you think Christianity would be a little more appealing?

    Question for Atheists

    You're absolutely right.

Of course, I could be entirely wrong. There could be a logically valid God communicating with them, and leaving me in the dark. Or perhaps I'm entirely right, and their experience is based upon hallucinations, etc. Not sure how to find out.

    Vonnegut?
