Haha, for a second, I thought it said best death metal ALBUM of all time, and I was like "Don't we all mean 'Human'?"

Anyways, just for the sake of mentioning a different band, I'm gonna go with Demilich.

First off: No.

Second off, Discordance Axis is grindcore, not death metal.

 

I think the best death metal band is... NONE, death metal is for douches. TECHNO/ELECTRO/CLUB/HOUSE etc. FTW! *turns caps lock off*

Are you going to tell me why? I guess Assuck to me is so effective because they are in fact death metal, but being a hardcore fan myself, you can also hear that edgy sound that has just evolved from the members previous works, and the lyrics are fucking brutal.

Discordance Axis can be considered death metal and grindcore, or if you really want to get down and relevant, they are technical death grind.


a few others that come on top of my list that i forgot would be Terroryzer, Agathocles, Bolt Thrower and Birdflesh.

 

Is Melodic Death Metal counted under Death Metal for the purposes of this thread?

I agree with those who said daath being the greatest but my fav would be cob.

 

In Flames were never good. They used to be semi-decent, until Clayman. Then they went to utter shit. Lunar Strain and Jester Race are tolerable. That's about as far as it goes.

If you want melodeath, Norther and The Absence are the best you're gonna get.

 

I don't like much of their old stuff, i like their new single The Mirror's Truth, it's more screamo (I love screamo), but of their old stuff there's:

-Coerced Coexistance

they were always good once they got the new vocalist there albums sales went thru the roof, when songs like dead end and when the6y remade land of confusion came out become one of the more populare death metal bands, watch head bangers ball dude you shall understand

 

Ive watched more music documentaries/shows/DTD's than you can imagine. Just because you think they're good doesnt mean they are.

There are VERY few bands that can be labeled as good without the statement being an opinion. Those would be Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Dio, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, W.A.S.P, and Twisted Sister.

I hold my opinion that In Flames were never good. Just decent, at best.
