    Vegetarians? Why?

If someone does it for health, more power to them. They'll live longer than me. If they do it one the sole idea that it violates animal rights then that's silly. Humans are dominate, and have every right to reap the rewards of their dominance.

This is all I have to say on the mildly unamusing subject.

Just because you eat vegetables frequenly doesn't mean your going to live longer then some one who doesn't. If you sit on your fat ass all day and eat vegetables your not going to live longer than some one who exercises, eats meat, vegetables, and fruit.

You know, being a vegetarian doesn't mean I eat only vegetables. I don't take and vitamins or tablets, I am perfectly healthy, more so infact than I would be if I ate meat.

When did I say eating a steak was unhealthy? It isn't great, but it isn't going to hurt you
Meat is not a necessity in a human diet. I don't know where you came up with that. You can get protein from many other sources than flesh. Sure we can eat meat, but that might not be the way we evolved. True carnivores do not cook their meat, and they have sharp teeth, not flat grinding teeth like we do.

    Are you retarded?
Unless you have invented some new kind of food, you need to kill the animal, and unless you did something to it first, that does cause pain

I don't see anything wrong with eating meat, and I don't condemn those who do.

    Vegetarians? Why?

A cheetah isn't going to have a "clean kill", it just kills the way it knows best. Humans kill cows, pigs, and etc. because its the most efficient way, not necessarily the right way. Slaughter houses are providing meat for millions of people so they need to be fast. I do think it is wrong though, i would just put a bullet through there head, not slit there throat and wait for they to die.

    Vegetarians? Why?

I eat meat because i want to. I don't think it's right for someone to stop me from doing something, which is why i don't like people that try and force me to follow their views on a subject.
True, there is the possibility that the animal has been mistreated before death, but if it's not eaten or used then it's a waste of food. Mistreating animals won't stop, if it's cheap the company will do it. I don't think that slitting an animal's throat is right, it's not necessary and an inneficient way of killing something.
Being vegetarian is a choice of the person. If they don't want to eat meat that's fine, leaves more for us. Humans are Omnivores and can survive on vegetables and/or meat, it's no loss to someone if they don't eat it, they can eat other stuff for the nutrients that come from it, but for now, i'm sticking with a nice steak.

Completely lost track of what i was typing... 3:00AM isn't the time to be thinking.

    Vegetarians? Why?

Too understand the choice of veganism, or vegetarianism, is just like understanding the choice to believe in any form of religion, it all revolves on personal beliefs, and general understanding and interpretation of life.

There are many relevant reasons as to why someone could be vegetarian, but again you can overlook all of them with simple twists that fall in place for every debate, religion vs science, Liberalism vs Conservatism, etc. It is a level of personal standard that should be accepted and treated as equal, just like homosexuality and everything else that may gain note as a controversial subject,

all in all, in my opinion, people should mind their own business, unless they are curious in the purest intentions.

    Vegetarians? Why?

dude, of course your healthy your probably 15 at the most right? when you get older because

your saying your not saying meat is unhealthy yet you say you would be less healthy if you ate meat? contridiction much? And when i say meat i mean REAL meat not the shit you get at mcdonalds. If you eat shit meat like sausages, and hanburgers and what ever then ofcourse its not good. But a nice peice of steak is good for you.

We are not herbivores there for we are designed to eat meat, yes we can survive without it, but why should we? animals are on this planet for the sole purpose of be eaten.

No im not retarded, im saying when i eat meat im not hurting an animal, its already dead. and when animals are killed like cows they dont suffer for long, a bolt to the brain drops them dead instantly. if i stop eating meat these animals are going to die no matter what, im not the one killing them.

and really, you dont make friends with salad.

oh and also i think vegetarianism is a disorder as it isnt natural to refuse our primary food source.

    Vegetarians? Why?

Vegetarians believe that they are living a healthier life, when in fact the proteins in meat are necessary for the immune system to be capable of conquering certain types of bacteria that could rend your body lethally ill. Eat meat, but in passionate dosages, together with plenty of corn/grain-products, potatoes, salad and vegetables.

Also, stay away from spicy foods, food with a high fat percentage and fast food.

THEN Vegetarians can claim to be healthier than the average human.

    Vegetarians? Why?

I'm not a vegetarian, but I come pretty close to one. The only thing I don't eat is pork and beef, and I pretty much only eat fish and chicken. I don't eat pork and beef because my beliefs and I just don't like it.

    Vegetarians? Why?

If I had the will power I would probably be vegetarian, it definitely has the potential to be a lot healthier. We also need to consider that at the rate we're going, certain animals are going to be extinct a lot quicker than we'd expect.

All the same, the ability to be vegetarian is a luxury... most people in the world can't choose not to eat meat, they eat shit like lizards and sheep brains because that's about all they have.

    Vegetarians? Why?

I am a vegetarian, but not for the health reasons, and not because I think that it is wrong to eat meat. I've been a vegetarian for around two years, ever since I went to my mothers friends house who is a wealthy man that owns a cattle ranch that is not for slaughtering/breeding/milking, but simply because he "likes" cows. It's kind of weird, but it was a very nice experience for me, because I spent a lot of time working on this ranch which was in California by the way. I too, began to "like" the cows. I thought, I don't need to support the reasons for these cows to be killed, I don't need to eat meat.

Even before this, I didn't really like meat, which made the decision easier for me. I also never ate veal, because I believe that amount of cruelty just for something to eat is wrong. My ideals concerning meat eating have grown, and I feel that it is wrong to support slaughterhouses by buying the meat that they produce. If I was a cave man and needed to eat meat to survive, then yes I would kill animals. I would not keep them caged up, give them hormones, raise them for slaughter. I know that by me not buying meat I am not changing anything, but for myself I am. This also may sound kind of strange, but whenever I ate meat, I would feel guilty when I looked at my dog =/
