HELP I SPILLED A CAN OF GINGER ALE ON MY dads@@@@ LAPTOP@@

Alright, ive been in this exact situation before, only with eggnog. If your dad is like mine, and hits you if you break something that can be as expensive as a laptop, then you need to unscrew the lip of the laptop very quickly, get the keyboard dryed , and then make sure there is no moisture on any other part of the comp. Then, put it back together and try to see if the comp works ok still. as long as the motherboard wasnt broken, you will be fine, my keyboard broke, but just tell your dad if anything breaks, that you spilled the ginger ale and with your quick thinking fixed the comp. IF HE HITS YOU, and you want to take it that far, call the cops, OR, the more rational way; just take the hit. If you fight back he will fight back and things can turn out bad (A Freind AND his dad were arrested). So just take it like a man and soon he will realize it doesnt effect you and he will stop.

ok this is what i did i clean the laptop as fast as i can then put it infront of the heater for 10 mintues make sure its nto on etc and then use a little damp clothe and whipe it down and clean on outside then use somone glasses cleaners like your grandmothers one or who ever has one use it to clean the screen down becasue the glasses cleaners are more effected than other cheap ones

If your laptop is anything like my old one, it probably fried its hard drive and shit. Your best bet is to let it dry out then replace pretty much everything that is under the keyboard in your laptop.
