Hey guys, local food reviewer Alex here with over 100 confirmed reviews on Sythe.

I've done a grocery shopping thread where I bought user-requested groceries (sorta lol) and I did a review request thread which I'm not sure if I ever did any of those reviews except b1b's chicken parm from a shady restaurant near closing.

Whatever, point is... I want some good recipes to potentially make going into summer and I already have plans of attempting to make a delicious poke, sushi, enchiladas, and other foodstuff that strikes my fancy, but I'd like to see what you guys like!

Enchiladas that I'm going to make (Swiss Enchiladas are the bomb) :

My poke and sushi are going to be pretty generic... Philly rolls for sushi, and a typical poke bowl with jalapeno, pineapple, tuna, rice, seaweed, avocado, and a homemade "spicy" marinade.

Tl;dr: Post recipes or dishes that you like below so I can add to my recipe book

Milk and cookies are usually pretty good.

 

Sounds like a ghetto version of cookies n cream.

My man, now THAT is a good trade.

 

I make french toast every once in a while, not really hard to make but I like the recipe.

1 Loaf of potato bread
1 cup of milk (2% best) and 1 egg per amount of servings you want to make.
Cinnamon
Vanilla extract, the higher the quality the better
1 bottle of maple syrup

Get a large mixing bowl and mix the eggs and milk together. Once mixed thoroughly, add about 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Continue to mix.

Put a small amount of cooking oil into a large sized pan and turn burner onto medium.

Place a small amount of cinnamon on top of the whisked eggs and milk. The cinnamon should be floating on top, then press the piece of bread onto the surface, this will absorb the floating cinnamon and coat one side with the eggs and milk. Replenish the cinnamon and repeat for the other side.

Once done with both sides place onto the hot grill pan and let it golden on both sides, it cooks very fast and should be ready by the time you are ready to place another on.

Serve with maple syrup and enjoy. It is by far one of my favorite childhood breakfast meals.

A friend actually recently made this a few times... a good desert option for me.. but interesting that you're using potato bread... I didn't even know they sold that in supermarkets.

 

It was strange to me at first when I heard it but it tastes absolutely delicious. I'll try and make some this weekend and I'll post pictures.

 

brown sugar and chilipowder on bacon, wrapped around 1-2 inch sliced chicken breast with a toothpick through it, in the oven on 375 for.... 30 mins I think? Just eyeball it past 30 if needed
