Xbox or Ps3

What should I get, I currently have a ps2 so used to controls for playstation but have played xbox. I don't know what to choose.

- Which has better graphics
- Which has better online play
- Which has best games being released.

Please help me choose.

 

PS3 = free online, better graphics, and blue ray.... but the games don't appeal as much to the players as xbox ones, like halo and microsoft only games like that. Xbox is pro go with that.

 

I don't mind paying to go on online, but is PS3 online better than Xbox one?

 

Xbox360/Xbox breaks after a year, I wouldn't get it.

Ps3 has multiple problems too but its the better choice.

If i were you i would get a Wii, You actually get some exercise while playing + I think Wii is way way better. It has free online too.

 

I exercise far too much just want something to relax on

ps3... better graphics, free online, and you get a blu ray player. And if you buy a 360, and you pay for live and a wireless adapter, ps3 is cheaper.

 

A ps3 is better due to online, better graphics thanks to blu-ray, wider choice of games.

 

Xbox 360 is has better online play, but it costs money.

Xbox 360 has been out longer, so it has a bigger and better game selection.

The graphics are similar, some would say that xbox 360 has better graphics while others will say that ps3 does.

The ps3 costs more, but it does have a blueray player, so if that appeals to you, you may want to buy the ps3.

 

That is indeed debatable. I personally can say it's undisputed that the PS3 has much better hardware, and has the definitive graphics superiority on exclusives, but not multiplatform games (Take account - Something like Madden 08, the 360 version ran at 60 fps while the PS3 version ran at 30fps)

Here's my comparisons -

Graphics - PS3 wins in exclusives (Devs put more work into it, and have just about unlimited limitations).

Online - 360 wins in online, but you have to pay about $50 every year to play with others (I believe you also have to buy a wifi adapter?). The PS3 comes with an adapter installed, and the online play is free.

Games - 50/50. The 360 DOMINATED 07 with games (Halo 3, Bioshock, etc), but very little is planned for 08 (Atm all I can think of is Gears of War 2). The PS3 did fair in 07, but the new, big releases are coming this year. Those include things like MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, etc.

Hardware - Another PS3 win. The 360 is ravaged by the Red Ring of Death, and although this is being fixed in newer models and you get a warranty, it is still a big thing to consider.

Overall, I'd really have to say PS3. It's cheaper (technically, if you include XBL) and the big games are coming out this year.

 

If you like to GAME, get an xbox. If you want "perks", get a ps3.

 

if your into online and good games then xbox360 is well worth it. ps3 is over rated i think in the graphics area

Xbox wins 2/3. Who cares about graphics, when you have a sick online system, and great games. The graphics are still good, but do they really matter that much?

 

Wow, I think i'm going to go with the ps3. As people said it's cheaper in the long run with free online play and less things needed to be bought for it. Also I heard a new Getaway is being released just for ps3..

You fail. Fail fail fail. Epic fail. I've had my 360 for two years and it hasn't broken yet, plus I have the old ones that used to get the red ring of death. Fail.

Graphics aren't really that important if the game is fun. Look at Runescape, the graphics are shit but the game still used to be fun. Plus if you think about it, $50 isn't really that much for one year. The only thing you really need besides the card for live is a ethernet cord, which is like $10.
Everyone is saying xbox breaks a lot, but really it doesn't. I have like 10+ friends at school with xbox 360's and one has had to get fixed.
