Global Warming - Should we worry about it now?

Everyday the sun and the earth get closer. Eventually we will all burn up, don't worry about it. It's not like this will all happen in a month.

look at the great barrier reef in australia, its dieing because of a minute shift in temperate. and yeah the temperate was different 6000 years ago, but tell me this, do you think there hasnt been major changes due to this change in climate? you have no idea how many ice ages there has been dude to climate change which pretty much wipes out the planet, and then life has to build back up. i agree that there has been changes in climate over 6000 years but to say that there is no consequence for these changes is stupid.
look at mars, they say there used to be life form on it. what happened? climate change. rivers dried up and everything died. that can very much happen on earth.

The great barrier reefs dying existence can not be contributed to solely warmer water. It is a combination of warmer water, contamination of the water, and invasive foreign species. I don't think such an unresistant specimen should be a scale to measure the threat of global warming. And you equate Mars' current state to the potential of the world with intense global warming. Do you know the temperature increase that occurred on Mars? The eventual decay of the atmosphere led to a temp increase of 80-60 degrees! Were not talking about the 6-10 degrees that extreme global warming could produce.

Global Warming - Should we worry about it now?

Why don't we review the history of our planet?
4 and 1/2 billion years ago: Life emerges. For the next 3 billion years, multicellular animals are formed: amiphibians, dinosaurs, mammals, etc. During all of this, HUGE changes were taking place on the face of the earth. Mountains rising, falling. Whole CONTINENTS shifting. Oceans being formed. And despite all of that, the earth remained. My point is this: It is extremely doubtful that, as humans, we can do anything to destroy the planet. So what if more ozone is seeping in? Many forms of life thrive on ozone. We may not survive that, but, again, we haven't destroyed the planet. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we shouldn't care about the environment, all I'm saying is that we shouldn't worry about something that we can't do.

Under the "no" column, put uncontrollable.
Millions of years ago, an ice age ocurred that was not the direct result of human action. Therefore, who says it can't happen again?
In summary, global warming is not necessarily "man-made" meaning we should NOT worry about it, we can't DO anything about it.

Obviously, many of you don't care about your soon-to-be brethren, nor do you care about the Earth as the place that has served home for your entire life. Really, it is pathetic. What if in the future, there comes advancement in technology which allows the human body to function far beyond normal. Then when you're living, full-blown global warming kicks in and you're all burned. Ever thought about that!?!?

    Jeez ..

However, I think that we SHOULD worry about Global Warming, even today.

Oh, and "Christmas Crackers" .. An apple isn't man-made, but you could change that apple, couldn't you? Don't assume something that could easily be parred.

Whether something as small as an apple or as large as a society disaster, it can be changed. I don't know about any of you, but I won't spend my entire life worrying about something so insignificant. However, I won't trust it's presence to the point of foolishness.

    :D

    Heres my opinion:

Global warming should not be overlooked. However it also shouldn't be over-exaggerated.
