Seeking advice on selling an eBay store | A few questions

Some of you know I am moving to China in August this year (unless delayed by visa process).

I have an eBay business account with 2700+ feedback with high selling limits.

The account can list 1000 products or £100,000 worth of products per month (whichever comes first).

I have closed shop and now in the process of selling off my remainder stock and B-stock items.

After I have done this I am potentially interested in selling my shop.

(disclaimer: Apologies in advance if this is the wrong section, as I'm seeking advice and not trying to sell it right this second, I do not know of any other section to post this in)

So with the brief background story out of the way, I have a few questions, and would really appreciate any of your thoughts/experience/advice regarding this kind of deal.

Question 1) How much would I be looking at? I have done research and the numbers vary too much, and some information is years old.

Question 2) Would it be a good/bad idea to contact huge sellers in China and India, who sell thousands of products each month on multiple accounts?

Question 3) As it is a business account and my personal information would be difficult to remove, would this be a very risky sale with potential severe consequences?

Question 4) Have you ever done anything like this? If yes, how smooth was your experience?

    Best wishes,

    - Lime

Well the main question I would want answers to is #3, is it risky with potential severe consequences.

I would look into the ability of changing the owners contact, address, and any other type of information, PayPal, and whatnot. Since as you said the information would be difficult to remove or change, if you sell to someone that then scams a bunch of people using your trusted account even if all of the information is under them who knows if that info they submit is real and worse case scenario eBay would look at your information having previously been on file for that account and come after you for the loses.

So if you do sell it I would make sure you trust the person buying it, if it is a reputable business or a local shop in your city or anything like that where the chances of anything bad coming back to bite you in the ass are minimal then I'll bet you can make some good money for your account and never see any downsides of selling it. I don't know what it would be worth, but best of luck regardless what happens. Have fun in China

Quite a few people orders things made in China and resells them. I recall reading a couple who started creating board games for example and made good money selling them. They got them made in China. Maybe a friend or a family member could be a business partner of yours and you could continue the business with them. Being in China could probably help open possibilities of bringing in merchandise that is cheap which you can sell.
