A Problem that needs to be fixed

Um I have noticed that in the Script Requests section people have been posting porn....These people should be perm banned if not ip banned for this...Im sure the parrents of some of these younger users wouldnt aprove of the stuff being posted in there....It sorta hurts the community...and if no one does any thing or takes action more and more of it will apear im sure..So I just wanted to bring this to sythes attention....

 

They are adbots. Can't really do anything about them unless Sythe turns on email activation.

 

Couldn't you go another route like limit the amount of links permitted in a post or be required to enter a security code correctly when posting?

 

Email activation and captcha recognition should be on in the registration form, but for some reason, Sythe has decided against the two.

These two would cut down on nearly all of the bots, but nothing will be really done about it. I guess the sectionals or globals or whatever can take care of the adbots themselves, if they spot it.

If you see an adbot in the scripting section, just link me to it through a PM, and I'll delete it.

 

We try and delete the posts as quickly as possible but unfortunately we can't delete them instantly.

And as stated above it would only take the click of 1-2 check boxes too eliminate them... Yet we don't...

 

i have seen ppl posting porn on it maybe once or twice..... but i mean... not alot of the sythe veiwers look at that thread. but i mean action needs to be taken
