No.

 

Time travel is impossible as of now. Man has never experienced entering a 'wormhole' or 'blackhole' and until someone does, we will never know.

Theory is that if you enter one, you'll enter another dimension or another time period.

Theres no answer as of now (yes i did go to thread) its impossible for anyone to be right until more discoveries are made.

My opinion? I think it is. But we wont know for a long time...

 

Time "travel" is theoretically possible with some huge restrictions. This has to do with the stuff that Einstein came up with in his theories on relativity.

The rate at which time passes may be altered relative to another perspective. However, time can never be reversed. In effect, someone going at a speed that is significant relative to the speed of light would be able to "travel" into the future. It is all based around the fact that light in a vacuum is always viewed as going the same speed, no matter the speed of the observer.

I read some book about Einstein's theory and i thought it meant that if anything went greater then the speed of light it would gain mass rather then move faster considering nothing can go faster then the speed of light? Apparently im wrong though...

Yes, it is possible and that has already been established. It is just so difficult to get to the correct situations to make it occur.

However, it would NOT affect the past that we already lived in, because you would be going to a different dimension, according to the theories. That is why we do not have any "time travelers" here in our time.

It would have HUUUGE restrictions on how it would work and its not like you are thinking that you ride in a car rigged by an old scientist and you can talk and communicate with people from the past or even yourself.
You could see back in time right now, but you would have to be light years away...
Example: be 5 light years away from earth have a telescope that suuuuuuper high powered and suuuuuuuper focused with the best resolution to exist and you would theoretically be seeing 5 years into the past.

 

As of now, no. In the future, who knows.

From what little I know on the subject, a portal of light (simple wording there) needs to be established. Then an object can be sent back as early as the portal was created. Open a portal in 20 years and let 100 years pass, that sort of thing. Time travel to any earlier points is impossible as of now unless some sort of advanced allien civilazation already had portals that have been set up for many years already.

Only time will tell.

 

no its not possible, so eintsein proved 2 things:1 if u go the speed of light u can travel through time but 2 he also proved it is impossible to achieve the speed of light

Those of you who said that it was "impossible" to time travel as of the present day, today, should be educated.

Because someone is ignorant to the topic and action does not make the claim impossible. I severely doubt that anyone here has traveled into the sands of time and would share, let alone be on Sythe.

It is highly improbable, seeing as it hasn't been confirmed by other than a couple of people who have completely made their level of sanity distraught.

Nothing is impossible. It may seem ridiculous, but it is true. You could try to name something that is impossible, but chances are that logic and/or technicality will shine against you.

Has it happened before? There are no records of it.

Like some have said, however .. We will not know until clarification is upon us ..

By simply moving, you cause time dilation to occur. But note in the equation that the velocity is divided by the speed of light which is approximately 670 million mph. Therefore, your motion will have realistically no effect on time. If your speed, however, is a sizable portion of the speed of light, time dilation can have rather large effects.
