Animal or Human?

I consider myself an animal. A stupid animal that ruins earth.

 

yes, i cant imagine even big animals like bears taking over the planet because humans are superior they make guns/nuclear missiles
humans are too smart for animals

its like putting a man ( very big and bulky ) to fight somebody smaller but more inteligent holding a m16

sure i beleive i'm more intelligent than an animal but mental capacity doesn't all matter. I'll admit we're more advanced when i see a human run 60+ mph
or lift 3000 lbs.

 

i think you miss the piont. humans are superior to what we call animals, thats not the question. what he was asking is do you not consider yourself an animal. just becuase we are more evolved doesnt mean where not still animal. thats all we are, the highest stage of evolution on the planet earth. and we are still evolving, and in millions of years we wont be the same (giving that we can keep this planet alive for that long) and what ever is the dominate life form then will look back at us and think we where nothing but animals.

 

Of course on Technicality we are animals genetically. But no we are by far superior to them cause we have lots of emotions and Intellectually far more advanced then they are.

You don't know were smarter then them, We can't understand them so most of us think as them as dum. And did you ever think brain isn't everything, a ant can lift 3x its own weigt proving strength, a cheetah can run 60mph proving speed, Humans can just think proving knowledge. After all were the ones causing global warming.

No, this is arrogance. You assume you have "Mental Abilities" that exceed those of the animal-like species, yet you do not have proof to back up your assumption. Yes, it IS an assumption.

Let's see .. You wake up every day, blink, breathe, walk, go and eat, study or have fun, suffer some of your day through dullness, and go to sleep.

An "Animal"(and I use the term extremely lightly when comparing *us* to *animal*), wakes up every day, blinks, breathes, walks, goes and fight for the food that they are destined to eat that day, avoid constant danger and controversy in most cases, suffer some of their day through being alarmed and aware, and go to sleep.

Now I'm not a rocket scientist, but I'm pretty sure that when you study, you learn, right? Well, when animals live EVERY DAY, they learn. When you live EVERY DAY, you don't necessarily learn. You cannot read minds, so through the scars and scared nights that an "animal" may have had, you don't know WHAT they're thinking. To say that you are more intelligent is highly improbable. ONLY because you think inside the box with the top closed, and believe that intelligence can only be measured by certain subjects, such as the knowledge of Math, Science, Grammar, and how to clothe yourself properly. Just incase you didn't know, those aren't the only things that could measure intelligence.

If that were the case, then I believe that most would agree in saying that spiders are smarter, because at birth, they know how to spin an entire web. Isn't that basically what you just said? That because you know how to do a couple things better than an animal, you are smarter? Arrogance is what it is .. Not fact.
Sorry, I just HAD to retaliate to that ridiculous assumption.

But ANYWAYS ..
I, for my own personal reasons, believe that we are all animals. Whether genetically designed for a certain purpose or for the assumption that we may be smarter, we are animals. "Human" is just a title so we who can talk in the accepted language(Human language. Lets not forget that *Animals* talk as well..) would not feel insulted by being called an animal. Evolutionary theory or not, we're animals. We are the descendants of the Monkey(Only logical theory so far), and that makes us animals.

Humans didn't just pop out of the ground. However not impossible, highly improbable. To those who say that they are not animals, while I would never be so quick as to call an accusation, claim, or assumption "wrong" without first looking at the subject from that perspective, I do believe that for the person that simply, vaguely says that we are not animals and that we are smarter should be educated. HIGHLY educated. As in, for the rest of their unnaturally born lives ..



Also, for those whom say that we have better thinking capabilities, you are only making another assumption. You cannot read an animals mind, therefore you do not know whether that animal is thinking more intelligently any more or less than you.

 

How are we really better than animals? We fight, they fight, we hunt, they hunt, we care for our own, and they care for their own. Our perception of intelligence is no different than the dog or wolf might see itself more intelligent over us. We are all prisoners of our perception. Lets see you out hunt a dog or wolf without a gun. I bet we would lose. Just like they couldn't do a math problem. One major difference is that a wolf would most likely treat you its equal if you were part of the pack (I've seen it before) and we treat animals as inferior beings. If nothing else they are more kind.

 

I agree. But its fact for only some time, then I am sure however long it be, other forms of life will take over.


There also is the fact remaining that we have not discovered all forms of life on this planet.

 

unfortunately, i often do think of myself just as a human and not an animal. but once i get started thinking about it i strongly believe that we are considered animals.

this "humans are superior" thinking is what's causing many problems in the world such as deforestation or extinction of species of animals

 

humans are superior in the sense that we believe we are, because we are currently at the top of the fukkin food chain...

other species only take what they need.

humans however take what we want....

other species dont judge eachother by their color...they simply see it as irrelevant.....

humans are parasites...we feed off of all the natural resources and all of the animals of the land and we dont think ahead about the future...

humans have empathy for other humans and aniamls alike...

 

We shouldn't be thinking of ourselves more superior than animals, but then again some people have greater attributes than some animals. Ergo, a weight-lifter over a wolf. A runner, over a hare.

Therefore, I think- wait, I KNOW i'm a human.
