    Well tell me this. What is the point of getting rid of real world trading?

    To get more money by making the game more fair.

    Since all these people are quiting, jagex is being forced to change it back. But now, dont you think a group like this wouldve THOUGHT just a little, maybe a little, and couldve seen this problem? theres 1.2k ranters on rsforums atm, and if you make a thread in rants, itll reach the end of the 50 page mark if its not bumped.

    Do you realize how much money Jagex is bringing in from runescape? I bet you have no idea, let's see.
    Take, for example, the 500,000 members of runescape. Each member pays an average of let's say 6 USD a month. If I have done my math correctly, that's 3 MILLION DOLLARS A MONTH. 36 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. This, of course, does not even include profit from advertisements, etc.

    Now tell me, what company in their right mind would purposely attempt to kick out all of its members, thereby making no profit every month, in an attempt to work on a different game that is not even guaranteed to be popular? The players will decide the fate of runescape. As long as they are willing to pay, runesape is here to stay

    Rs classic is still around, If Jagex does choose to stop working on RS2(which I doubt), it will be years before Sythe and the black market end. I don't even need any new updates on Runescape for me to play, they have a ton already.
