    suing the school

Someone in my school decided that he would sue the school in federal court because one of the administrators told him to turn a shirt inside out that said something along the lines of 'the liscence muslims use to kill americans'

do you guys think he'll win or lose?

i think he will lose because of freedom of speech

It's against the Dress Code, I'm assuming. The administrators had every right to tell him to turn it inside out. The student will lose.

He will loose. He can't afford to stay in court too long. He doesn't have a good enough lawyer, and they will trust the teacher way more then him.

It was the teachers right to tell him to turn it inside out if it might be offensive to a group of people. He'll lose.

It's possible he'll win. Tinker vs. Des Moines ruled that students do not "shed their constitutional rights when they enter the schoolhouse door." I doubt he'd be suing unless his lawyer had a reasonable basis on which to sue, but that doesn't mean he'll win.

He will lose. He sounds like a real dick. Its the teachers jobs to make students follow the dress code and such, its not as though making kids turn their shirts inside out is their dream jobs. Then to go and sue them over such a little thing, its disgraceful.

You should tell us when its finally over with whether he loses or not.

I agree with Clash, The lawyer wouldent sue unless he had a good reason\ a good arguement. Im sure its more than the teacher telling him to turn his shirt inside out.

Say if he even sues the teacher and wins, he has to go to another school because i don't think that particular school will ever let him back in.

Doesn't schools make you sign a safe-school policy or something and says that you have to agree to the dress code?
If he signed that, he's automatically going to lose.
