God does not exist? (mainly for Shredder)

I don't think that the universe needs a creator. I don't see why it couldn't have existed indefinitely.

So because you can't explain where the universe came from you choose the most comforting idea as opposed to the most logical one?

 

I personally feel that everyone has the right to believe in whatever deity (or lack of) they choose, as crazy or illogical as it seems, as long as they keep it to themselves and don't push it (and its respective ethical beliefs) on other people. That's how wars start.

I don't believe in an all-powerful god because of the lack of evidence. People claim to talk to god. I've never heard a whisper. The only thing I've ever felt that I once attributed to a deity was a feeling that I was or was not doing something I was supposed to...This, of course, is easily attributable to yourself. If there was a god, I would hope that there would be more of a uniform view as to what he/she/it is. There are thousands of variations of beliefs within even Protestant Christianity. And I'm supposed to believe that they are all worshiping the same god? There would be no inconsistencies if they all truly heard his voice.

But then again, why does god have to be so darn secretive and talk to a select people. Why talk? Why not act through actions...why not take the time to personally appear in a form we can see and do productive stuff like cure diseases and end world hunger? That's why I don't believe in a god. There are no actions that can be attributed to him. Just because one kid survived (a miracle) doesn't mean there's a god...what about the millions who died. You can't ignore the numbers. I don't want to worship a god that allows this seriously demented shit to happen. The best thing we can do is grow up and try to solve these problems ourselves.

well im not christian or nething and dont believe in god, because they say he made the world and people and animals, but no one said he made dinosores and they were b4 people and other animals so i dont understand that!
