I hope you are some what...new at Graphics..
    For a Beginner that is a 7.5/10
    Intermediate-3/10
    Experinced-1/10

Clean it up add better lighing and depth to your art.Sometimes a signature may take up to 3 days or a week to make look good..It looks like you rushed though it. I have learned to take my time with my work. Lose the brushes.
Brushes arnt the world..Start blending C4d's with tiny spots of brushes.
Add lighting and text. Some times duplicating of the image and seting to diffrent modes adds nice effects.. Bascley give more thought and time into your work and you will have hot signatures soon. :)

    I hope my coments helped-SoccerTJ

The lighting is atrocious, and soccertj has no idea what he is talking about.

No, no I didn't. I am on Linux, I don't have good wine support for my distro, and I don't pirate software (any more).

You really don't -- you have no understanding of the most basic concepts of graphic design (Especially "looks good").

His lighting is bad because the light is coming from a place where, on the stock, there is shadow.

Your brushes and c4d comment really got me the worst, because it shows what an absolute idiot you are. How dare you criticise brushing, while advocating C4Ds? They are both using someone else's work to create what you would consider your own, it's flat out plagiarism. And don't give me the bullshit about them being free-to-download, there are free-to-download essays on the internet, but you copy/paste passages out and hand them in, do you?

I'm not even going to go on with the rest, because it doesn't deal with concept and theory, just techniques so you can bash out bad signatures like a factory.

    SoccerTJ is a fail.

Don't take his advice, seriously. He's just trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about.

Darby is right, about the lighting. Look at the lighting on your subject. Then look at the way you have put lighting into your sig. Totally out of whack. Looks like you just kept adding more and more effects and lighting without really keeping an eye out for what looks right.

You have talent. But you need to improve, a lot.

This work has a bit of depth, with the inclusion of the 'orange blur' as quoted earlier, in front of your focus. That, including the darker background, makes a fair feeling of substance in the atmosphere - as if he is in some actual place. Your general flow, however, is where this signature falls into a novice work again. You might be able to see that your effects have created a sense of lines moving from the bottom left, upward to the right. Your render is moving to the left, which is now against the grain of the entire work. It seems like he, even though he has no expression of doing so, is working to lean to the left, which really hurts the sense that he means to do what he is doing in the environment.

And to help you - the advice on your advice.

As I mentioned, the lighting is not terrible, as the coloring suits the render, and the depth is present. Note that no one around here really takes time to work on a project, so commenting that he should take time is really only a waste of yours. Giving people valued advice will eventually have them taking longer on their projects, without having to tell them to slow down. It is nearly never, in a professional environment, appropriate to add a C4D into a signature or general work. The reasoning behind this? C4D works generally cloud a signature with worthless materials, which are sharp and intrusive. Keeping light and focus points key will almost always eliminate the possibility of using a C4D work, unless your displaying depth of field. Brushes also will usually take second hand to substance, and again, add useless sharpness to a work. Though certain brushes are acceptable, one should always note that adding a brush should not be done for flair, but only as a fine accent. Something you don't draw your eye to because it's "cool," but rather use a compliment to the subject. Text, in almost every case, is an unneeded accessory to any work. Let your image tell the story, and more people will enjoy the work. The only time text can ever do you well, is when it is almost literally hidden in an image, or when the showcasing of your work is essential, as in a framing situation. Consider this, Soccertj, and one day "...you will have hot signatures soon. :)"

Note the light on the render comes from the opposite direction, instead of using effects in the corners, consider using negative space.
