Which coin will be added to coinbase next? [POLL]

I’m thinking and hoping XRP because the rumor has been floating around for months. Although wouldn’t be surprised if it’s going to be another coin.

The truth of the matter is that whichever coin that is added next will be achieving some serious gains; I’m thinking similar to BCH.

Let me know what your thoughts are. Post below your reasons behind why you think the coin you chose will be added to coinbase next.

 

None, I cant share why I think so yet for a day or two but I'll follow up why I think so, coinbase has released something that would make adding new coins very very difficult.

At least it will slow down them adding coins vastly.

Nano for sure, it's easy to integrate and doesn't have any fees

 

XRP will only end in failure IMO. I don't think coinbase would add XRP, at least not soon.

XMR wouldn't be a bad option To be added to coinbase, but because of its privacy measures and its use on the deep web and for illegal activities, coinbase might even steer clear of XMR or most coins in general...

I agree with @Divine on this one. The just released coinbase commerce, and adding a new coin will only be a pain to add to coinbase commerce and they are focusing on other issues right now...


Also, I don't think coinbase will be adding coins anytime soon since they added Btrash and it was a complete and utter failure. The fact that coinbase added Btrash in the first place is sad.

 

XRP or XLM are the most sensible to add from that list.

 

A lot of people saying XRP is going to be added in 2018 but I’m starting to have my doubts. Their whole insider trading scandal on bcash really shook things up for the company and they definitely do not want it to happen again.

 

I didn't want to leak coinbase commerce but yes ur correct. Adding coins to a payment gateway/money processor will have all sorts of major legal hurdles and now that both coinbase& coinbase commerce have to submit them well, I'm not optimistic.

 

Everyone that says insider trading are the ones that missed the trade man. "Insider trading" and manipulation happen in all markets.

 

Insider trading was done by employeees that work at coinbase. Coinbase acknowledged this.

The time and effort needed to make BCH work on coinbase made it so that basically all the higher ups knew for a fact when it would be released and its affects.

I think most exchanges are just out to make money, and so are their employees. There's also probably a lot of "insider trading" happening everyday since the employees know when maintenance will happen, when they will be offline, when more need is announced, etc, etc.

Kinda of annoying but we will have to live it it I guess. And no, Robin Hood is not the answer to coinbase a problems lol

 

Coinbase might make their staff sign some sort of NDA along with a legal document attempting to discourage insider trading but it's certainly going to happen regardless. Iirc there wasn't any legal action anyway? Did anything even come from their internal investigation? Wasn't LTC added to Coinbase because the literal founder of it worked for Coinbase as an engineer?

Anyway, I would say that's definitely a potential hesitation they might have but I'm more inclined to agree with BartonsVodka here. If they were seriously considering adding XRP they wouldn't be stopped by fear of insider trading.

 

Yes exactly charlie lee worked at google and left to work at coinbase, then he developed Litecoin while at Coinbase and then left to focus on Litecoin. However I think it is a little different than what went on with BCH (which is a scam all together)
