A few conclusions about IE

<BillGates> "So guys, what's the plan to fuck the end user this time?"
<IEguy1> "Well, we plan on implimenting a way for IE8 to fuck itself over and run 5 iexplorer.exe processes when the application is only run once to eat up more memory"
<IEguy2> "We've also got a way for it to crash on laod for XP SP2 users, so they are forced to buy vista to use it"
<BillGates> "Excellent, keep me up to date in the FTEU department" (Fuck The End User)

It's true. Try it for yourself if you want (I wouldn't exactly recommend it though).

    A few conclusions about IE

Here's the whole convo. I'm green, Mat's Black.

    Mat

PROTIP: Do not install the IE8 beta

    Nick

    hahahaha

    Nick

    crap?

    Mat

    worse

    Mat

    microsoft...

    Nick

    ehh

    Nick

    should have known

    Nick

do they charge per tab now?

    Mat

    ahaha

    Nick

or is it just a flat fee of $1 per page you open

    Nick

unlimited tabs of course, as they're such a giving company

    Mat

i installed it to see how it renders pages and how i'd have to change my coding, so like, i install it... have to reboot... i load it up, and it crashes... so i load it again, crashes again, so i reinstall it... reboot... load it up, it crashes.... i managed to get past the crash by renaming a toolbar object, but it doesn't do anything other then that... so i tyr to uninstall it, and IE8, in a raging fit, decides to erase all my startmenu shortcuts... so i uninstall it, it says i have to reboot now or later, i hit later, and it instantly reboots...

    Mat

and here's x9 as usual being an IE fanboy trying to tell me how great it is

    Nick

    hahahaha

    Nick

tell him and Bill to go play fish

    Nick

    or something

    Nick

It just amazes me how they consistently manage to make such a hack job of IE

    Mat

    i know...

    Mat

you'd think there'd be a limit to how much fail a browser can contain

    Mat

    wait there

    Mat

    there is*

    Mat

they've spread it over three browsers now

    Mat

    because it exceeds that limit

    Mat

    IE6, IE7 and IE8

    Nick

Pretty much, each consecutive one just seemed to be a even worsely agumented version of the other

    Mat

    D:

    Nick

By expanding on ideas, they obviously seem to want to make each component of the browser (somehow) worse

    Mat

    ahaha

    Nick

it's exponential growth in the Fail sector

    Mat

they probably sit in a room for a 'meeting' that goes something like this: <BillGates> "So guys, what's the plan to fuck the end user this time?" <IEguy1> "Well, we plan on implimenting a way for IE8 to fuck itself over and run 5 iexplorer.exe processes when the application is only run once to eat up more memory" <IEguy2> "We've also got a way for it to crash on laod for XP SP2 users, so they are forced to buy vista to use it" <BillGates> "Excellent, keep me up to date in the FTEU department" (Fuck The End User)

    Nick

    hahahahahahah!

    A few conclusions about IE

I was not 'saying how great IE8 is'. I was simply stating that it's AN EARLY BETA and the final product should not be judged at the moment. Also, I've had none of the problems that TDD has had. He somehow refuses to consider the possibility that it's HIS PC - not IE8 - that is to blame.

IE8 = Root of All Evil.
TDD's computer != Root of All Evil.

    A few conclusions about IE

Safari 3 Beta 1 was more stable than IE8 Beta.

Firefox 3 Alpha 1 was more stable than IE8 Beta.

I come to the conclusion that IE8 Beta is not stable - as TDD has experienced - x9 I have a fresh install of Windows Vista, fully updated.

    A few conclusions about IE

IE is faggotry. Its the most "sharp" program out their. Like you know when you first install a program and the design, layout, and colors are all perfect, it just feels smooth. IE is neither of the three. It feels like I'm running a DOS program that is still in the early stages of being attached to a gooey. You guys know what I mean. Like Firefox is smooth, photoshop is smooth if your not an idiot, and windows XP is smooth.

From what I've heard, I'm not even considering installing IE8B on my computer. Maybe on the schools computer as the default browser and overwrite IE7. Teachers be like "My internet is a virus." "I can't upload emails" "Wut tha fucks?"

Hahahahahahah that's a fucking hilarious conversation. I NEVER bother installing Microsoft products till at least Beta 3 or the full release (and even then I ask myself what I'm doing).
