Speed ( drug ) Why i do it ?

I agree that if you have never done drugs, or anything similar to speed, you shouldn't be flaming this poor child. Everyone makes different choices, and everybody has their reasons for liking what they like, or doing what they do. Some people drink, some people smoke, some people enjoy the chron, or the yays, or the mushies, or speed, some people like ice cream, or big t-bone steaks... Some people have a thing for feet... I see no reason to flame them about their choices, or telling them their choices make them an "epic fail." Concern is understandable, however, I am going to make an assumption that a vast majority of you have never done speed, let alone any hard drugs, and therefor have no actual experienced opinion on these drugs, and choices. You have the knowledge that the media spoon feeds you, but keep in mind that the media stretches the truth.

RutuliukaS2, I personally would like to try speed, however it's not easily come by in eastern Canada... I can however tell you that when/if you ever decide to quit, you are going to feel miserable for several months. I spent a while myself addicted to several different drugs which I will keep to myself. They are lovely, and completely worth while when you are doing them, but when you decide to quit, its a kick in the face.

 

Its a season thing to me , when its cold or wet i dont do Xtc / speed alot , i do shrooms or weed .... anyway i dont feel addiction , i just do that at good parties . and i wouldnt call that a hard drug .

Anyway havent done it for 3 weeks , and i dont want to atm but when the time will come , i will .

 

Are you kidding me? Now people have to of taken drugs to have an opinion?
News flash, drugs are addictive, so if you ask anyone who has taken drugs if they were good or not, chances are they will say it was awesome.

Look at the facts, drugs are obviously not good for you. Many more lives have been hurt than helped due to them. I don't give a dam if your teeth don't fall out, that does not mean its healthy.

I don't really care if you do drugs, I don't care if the president of the US does them. Just don't try telling me it doesn't hurt you.

have psychosis - a serious psychological problem where you hear voices, imagine things, fear that others want to hurt you.

Long term effects:

become dependent on speed (see 'Dependence', below)

often become violent for no reason
*

get sick more often because your body can't resist disease properly
*

be upset or depressed
*

have periods of psychosis (see above)
*

have relationship, work, money, legal or housing problems.

People can have an opinion, its a free world, but don't flame people saying they are a failure because they do drugs. There is no need of the arrogance that has been presented in this topic. If you don't like the idea of drugs, thats your choice, but you don't have to act like king **** because of it.

I have tried speed. Don't think you are the only one who ever has.

I would prefer it if you didn't generalize drug users, you dick. Drugs have not ruined my life. Just because you couldn't control yourself doesn't mean you can give me a bad name for how I spend my free time. I have yet to try heroin but I have smoked opium and done various other opes. Guess what? I'm not addicted. I haven't killed anyone. My life is FINE. If you use some common sense you'll be alright.



Back to meth - what's your ingestion method of choice? I haven't tried hot railing yet. Anyone have experience with that?

 

The only drugs i would recommend using are Marijuana and Shrooms, these have less health risks that tobacco and alcohol. However it has an adverse effect to what speed has, it will not give you 48 hours of energy obviously. If you wanna trip but don't have any cash for a gram, take about 3-4x the recommended dosage of your favorite weight loss pills.

 

I would also like to state that anyone who states that ALL drug users are failures, and that drugs are fucked up, your opinions are worthless if you haven't at least tried the stuff. I have yet to try anything other than Weed, LSD, and methadone, but i do not condone the judgment of other drug users just because they use said drug. Yes, in the wrong hands drugs can cause utter failure, and leave your life in ruins. However responsible drug use, (this means occasional use (a joint every few days etc.) is fine. You really shouldn't do any drug if you have problem with other peoples opinions.

 

Sorry for the many posts, but this post just blows me away. Of course drugs aren't healthy for you, very few things on the planet are. It is possible to become *dependent* to anything, becoming violent is *normally* caused by a lack of self control, which can also lead to addiction. Anything can become addictive. I must agree a little bit with psychosis, the first time i smoked pot i thought i was dreaming throughout the whole period. However this usually goes away after the third or fourth time.

What if my favorite weight loss pill is dexedrine (dextro-amphetamine)? Or desoxyn (dextro-methamphetamine)? They're prescribed. Does that mean it's ok to take? Your logic is flawed.


To the guy who said its ok to take methadone - ROFL WHAT? Methadone is FARRRRRRRRR more harmful than speed, especially because most people re-dose themselves after not feeling anything in the first hour and end up in the ER. If you're going to allow methadone but not speed... Well you're an idiot. And I would trust the general public with meth more than acid man... Meth doesn't change the way you perceive reality. You can go to work on meth. Try doing that on LSD...


And on to the psychosis caused by meth use - wrong. Meth doesn't cause psychosis. Staying up for days on end does. Have you ever heard of sleep deprivation hallucinations? Yeah same thing. Users may be more prone to not sleeping but you can't blame that on meth. Drugs are safe in the right hands. Everyone agrees with that. The only difference between my opinion and the one shared by many people in this thread is that I think that drug users can be just as informed about using them safely and responsibly as doctors can. Well, maybe not AS informed, but enough to not kill themselves or anyone else.


Look, I can respect you choosing not to use drugs. In fact, I'm glad you don't. I'm glad you care about your health. I would also like it if you exercised, eat right, the works. What I have a problem with is you telling me that the decisions I make somehow offend YOU. I keep to myself (well, maybe bug my friends a little) and don't even affect you. And Shaka, don't brag about using drugs. Everyone does. And don't blame your apathy towards life on the drugs. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA and am taking honors courses. Next year I'll be taking an additional 2 AP courses. I get plenty of exercise. If you can't handle your drugs (most teens can't, don't feel bad) then don't use them. Just don't give ME a bad name. Other than coming to school baked most days of the week and liking good music I hardly fit the profile of a stoner.

 

I know people who use speed, I swear to god, you will use more and more as time passes. You will loose alot of weight beucase that shit just eats away your fat, and your face will look fucked up.
You will always look pale, en unhealthy.

Just don't do drugs that aren't natural. Just stick to the green grass

When you take speed , you are interesting to talk with anyone . You can talk to your parent about crap for hours .
Pot is same price as speed here , but if you take speed you dont want to eat , so remove xtra 20 bucks for food . if you take speed everyday , you will always be in working conditions , you will understand everything , you will have energy for anything , and you will probly wanna stay after job to do something . If you take perm , you will start eating after some time , all you will need is pills that makes you sleep .

If your going to do a drug use marijuana. It is not addictive, only mentally addicted. Which means you can't go into withdraw from lack of its use, you just want it really badly.
