The Worst Update in Runescape History

As most of you, if not all of you know, runescape has changed a lot these past several months. I was just wondering what everyone feels has been the worst Runescape update we've had and why(it doesn't have to be current).
Feel free to post thoughts.



Personally I think the worst update they have done is getting rid of pking in the wild and replacing it with the sad excuse for the wild known as bounty hunter. I think this was the worst update because, even though I wasn't a major pker, the risk of the wild made it interesting to venture into and it was fun to claim items from other players when I kicked there asses.

 

Well, the only updates who destroyed the game was the change of the PK system and the trade update.
Nicely done Jagex, you fucked up your own game to defeat us. (Y)

 

pking gone is the worst update... and i cant believe and golbal mod is on this thread

 

The duel arena was one of the greatest places to be, for stakers. Wildy for pkers. I was really good at staking using my main, but when that was gone, i switched to just pking. Then that was gone, and that is what really killed the game.

 

Yet Most stakers and Pk'ers are to blame for that. How many people made pures, stakers, rune pure's etc.; Then Once they made their fortune and felt like they've accomplished what they wanted to in RuneScape, they sell their fortunes. How many people ABUSED the duel arena and used it for Real World Trading? How many STAKERS Have sold their profitss? The Duel Arena had to be taken away. The Wilderness was not overly abused untill luring came out.

Yes, I too myself enjoyed luring and don't see it as a major reason to take it away, but once the Duel Arena couldn't be used anymore, All the RWT's would of shifted directly and immediately to thw next best thing, The Wilderness. Every Rant & Flame has been towards Jagex, and yes they make stupid decisions/updates, but us as a community pushed it there and we are to put to blame.

I can guess and say that ATLEAST 60% or higher of people that complained about Duel Arena/Wilderness have either 1. Previously Bought/Sold gp's/items 2. Were planning on Buying/Selling gp's And I'm sure that percentage should be higher.

 

Personally I don't agree at all, many of the people that did staking and the wild did it for fun, and people who did make millions from staking and pking, I wouldnt say 60% of them would rwt with it. Most of the people that RWT weren't stakers or pkers, they were gold farmers from china.

 

Seriously, just IP-ban China from RS and the problem would have been solved

But if they did that it would remove like maybe 100k players. So basicly if 1/4 of them are members that's 125000$? I don't think they would even dare i.p ban china.

 

PKing was like half the players!

Not to mention the ones who were loaded with gold and phatties =]

I could careless about the trade thing but Pking really made the game fun... And now it's not fun

 

Man runescape has changed drastically, from when i started

 

Pretty much everyone that dueled sold mills i would make 6-7m a day just off a 85 range pure.

 

Merchanting / scamming was what i did on runescape so, i dont give a shit about pking but fuuuuck merchanting was yarr.

 

Well I wasn't aware of that, but still majority of RWT weren't stakers and pkers, they were gold farmers with those level 3 bots that resided in china.

 

Mainly you would see them in f2p, lol about 20 of em hogging one tree

 

Yes that was insane, but I think they could've tried to find a way without eliminating that issue without getting rid of the wild and staking, and limiting the trade so much Oo

 

WHAT IS WRONG WITH CHINA??

oh n i wish dueling was back I never even got to stake duel yet

 

i change my mind, the worst update, was when you couldn't attack swarms

 

Everything because of those gold farmers over there seemed to constantly sit there and sell rs2 gold...

But even if they eliminated the competition RWT would be still around
